Thing is, unless they somehow broke battlemod forever and you couldn't read the results, or if they made it so absolutely no matter what you lost all results on position change/zone/interruption, it isn't fixed.
One of the methods Craftboy's /seacom mentioned was just simply POS warping into a new zone and interrupting that way... I always thought that would cause ALL your materials to be lost like synthing your Lu Shang's on the Ferry when the boat departs/arrives. Apparently not according to him?
Anyway, that's my say on it. I really hope this is fixed but I know I shouldn't get my hopes up when it comes to these things lately. We'll see if anyone volunteers to try it out and lets us know. :)

So... what was "fixed" if not this method of saving materials until a HQ is produced?

There is currently an exploit being abused by crafters in Asura where they are able to craft without losing materials on synthesis loss. This is becoming even more obvious now that Medal Dupes are patched, as it is seen that a single person is able to sell an endless supply of SU5 weapons at a monopoly price (90M) when materials should cost way more than that even with maximum crafting gear/enhacements.
