Numbers Just Don't Add Up

Koh-I-Noor gems are now being sold in bulk at 45M/stack, buyers are buying 5-10 stacks each batch. Said buyer's sales history consists of infinite sales of Rostrams, Gandrings or other SU5 Dynamis weapons. There is no reason to buy these gems other than to craft and sell Stikini Ring +1 which are currently 30-35M/each.
Having done over 20,000 attempts (with 100% Koh-I-Noor loss on failure) to HQ Stikini Ring +1 myself, using all the available max goldsmithing skill/HQ enhancements with crafting shield, the cumulative HQ rate I got is 4%. Even if you supposedly run with double that HQ rate, or even 10% HQ rate, you are still losing 10M gil if you spend 45M on gems and get only 1.2 HQ rings in return. This is also assuming you somehow have an active Vagary bot that brings in an endless supply of dark matters.
All legit crafters already know that it's impossible to profit off dynamis weapons +2 without some sort of never-ending duped medals supply, so my conclusion is that there is some sort of packet exploit to force the server to re-roll or cancel the synthesis before 'end synth' packet is sent, or perhaps send a special ID which forces no-mats loss, similar to when fixing Lu Shang's broken fishing rod.
Like my post here to get this fixed:

Another way to fix is also by flooding the STF with similar report here:

You’re gonna ruin all the cheap SU5 prices :(
By Taint 2020-04-12 07:37:32
They are hacking the crap out of crafting but to the majority that means cheaper prices.
Stuff like Aurgelmir+1 would stay at 400mil instead of its current 125mil.

These guys better give me some free Su5s and +2 necks before they get banned like what happened last time. I loved getting free ***lol. Yet I'm still gimp /cry
It's just RMT crying about another RMT because they have an advantage, that's all it is. Doesn't affect me, only helps, but people cry, you know?

So you duped and offloaded almost 8K medals and now you wanna try and play white-knight because someone else is ruining your market? I mean, granted I'm all for figuring this all out and getting whoever is behind this taken care of (if it's even happening, which I'm sure it is), so I can start crafting again but I don't find it very likely. If this is true, it's not something new and it's been going on for quite a while. There's a certain someone on this forum that sells gils and gives away free stikini ring +1's with every order of 100M or more. I'm willing to bet that person knows something about it, or is exactly the same person doing this. Of course they won't admit it, though.

Crafting is like hive for bees (hackers).
How much is estimated the cost of a Rostam legit way nowaday?
(I do checked koh-i-noor sell status, indeed, doesnt make much sense. Just the amount of rostams being created is already impressive by itself)
By spengler 2020-04-12 08:43:34
it's not really.
koh's are odd but probably the moron is taking a loss because he's offering it as a part of his RMT package.
looking at su5/neck+2s under a microscope of just asura is pretty moronic since every RMT crafter that has half a brain is bringing medals from servers like sylph (beastmen 1.2m)

As a beekeeper this doesn't make sense to me. Please explain your analogy

lua scripting broke this game in my opinion, there is a private lua script running around that completes all missions/assault, some account sellers are using this to sell lots of new accounts for cheap.

It didn't break the game, it has been there since day 1.
Also, how does automating boring missions(now days at least) you've done a million times already or assaults break a game? Just so you know, SE sells mission and level progress in XIV, it isn't something that influences a game that much, people said the same thing about players power leveling in Abyssea.

That's because most GSM shield owners are afking 24/7 in dynamis for sparkling stones then synthing their own Koh-I-nor after a long botting session. Atleast for the ones that arent buying Koh-I-nor. But I'm not complaining one bit since Stikini Rings has dropped down to 25M at some points because they all try to undercut each other.

That still doesn't invalidate how lua scripting is being used to damage the game. Now almost/everything is for rmt purposes, either you are being resistant to this true statement or you're just another rmt trying to soft all these behaviors. I'm not a saint but this is too much.

What really doesn't add up imop is the demand side of the RMT situation. Who the heck is buying FFXI Gil these days?

Your average returner who all of a sudden is dropping loads of gil to catch up. Plenty of them in Bahamut, I can only imagine Asura

It's an illusion, the rmt creating these rings just control the synths with packages and gives you 1 free for each 100m that you buy. that's why there is an overstock of non-sense stikini rings+1 listed on the AH.

Not to mention, most of the people with shields botted the hell out of them. So, it is ironic for people to be complaining about it

There's a lot of people who are now "working" from home in the tech fields who formerly played this game, then life got too busy and they "left". Now they find themselves at home and need a distraction, and guess what old friend is still there, waiting to eat their time and money? Vana'diel.
And while many are having a very hard time right now because they can't work- the people I describe above actually have LOWER costs daily than they did before the stay-at-home orders started flying. Zero commuting costs, no more eating every lunch out, no more going out for beers after work. And they're bored, and gil is a fraction of the real dollar cost it was when they last played.
Oh, the demand is there- and we're seeing higher login numbers on a steady rate combined with creeping prices. The two go hand in hand.

Give it up. People who didn't make the effort to create a Stage 4 shield really don't care (which is the vast majority of the population). They'll give you some speech about how RMT keep the prices down so everyone can blah, blah, blah.
This is exactly why there are so many people with BiS gear (this and sparks farming/gil buying) and they can't even play their character(s) good enough to solo a T1 NM in Escha Zitah. It's the, "everyone gets a trophy" mentality, which is against the entire fabric of an MMO. They don't care.
