There isn't significant evidence that anything less than a n95 doesn't help slow the spread. Wear a mask if leave the house, at the very least, cover your face.
well, simple. your condom isn't made out of cloth, and the associated fail rates for condoms are caused by perforated condoms rather than condoms not working.
the entire mask thing is about compliance - not about saftey. they want to make sure they have iron clad control. call me a tinfoil hat all you want, but this is scary ***.
I think you are partly right. It really depends on who wants the control over others.
I know that Texas has resisted the call for mandatory face masks for a long time, until social pressure pretty much had Governor Abbot give in. But once the spike stops, I guarantee you that within a month that order will be canceled.

sorry but there is. cloth masks have been found under all of the following circumstances to be ineffective
1. at distances under 6 feet
2. coughing, sneezing, breathing heavily.
3. any time a person reuses a mask without disinfecting it
4. any time you breathe at all.
they are literally about as effective as if you used a baby's safety blanket instead. all they do is help people feel safe. its literally an illusion.

I like how the GA Governor stopped would be small time local tyrants.

Don't treat this issue like you do with pretty much every issue involving science....
Edit: *** off auto-correct.
Right, like I said, there isn't "significant evidence" that anything less than a n95 doesn't help slow the spread. Thanks for posting that article backing me up. Cover your face.

Way to miss my point.
Today there isn't, what you consider "significant evidence" but there is still talk in the science community that there is significant evidence that it isn't effective, there just hasn't been a study completed yet.
Tomorrow, on the other hand.....
But you would still claim that their isn't, even if that changes, so what's the point? Your mind is already made up, and there is no number of studies that will change your mind.
Unless, of course, it is politically convenient for you to change your mind, then you will just claim you were never with the pro-mask group, never mind your posts saying so.

Nice spin, just to not change the fact that my original statement remains correct. Of course there are studies, but I like how you just leave Hideka there to just continue to make ***up without posting any of his "significant evidence." As usual, he is wrong.
