When people die, less people work. Less things are made. economy becomes smaller. When lots of people die, a lot less work is done. The true infection rate is said to be 5-10 times more than we are able to observe due to physical limitations such as the time it takes to confirm an infected person/patient. The death rate is also rising. Italy death rate is surpassing china. Spain death rate now surpassing Italy. These are countries that have been taking this seriously for weeks.
