For example, if a Trump comment is “obviously racist”, just air the comment and let it speak for itself. Don’t overdramatize it, don’t over analyze it, don’t spend weeks of airtime getting every talking head and washed up celebrity to comment on how racist he is to the point where it completely backfires.

Whos fault is it. The "news" for doing it, or the idiots for watching it.
If idiots don't watch it, they won't do it.
If it makes (the most) money, they're going to do it. There's other ***going on in the world that people should care about.
But you keep the orange moron off tv and you lose revenue to the channel that has the orange moron 24/7

And yet pretty much all the commentary we get in here about Trump is just a regurgitation of what the talking heads said on the news, as if we needed yet another layer of it. If you're looking for the idiots contributing to their revenues, I'm not one of them.

It's unlikely that the US death toll Neill surpass the rest of the world, especially with China not even sharing it's numbers. But it's certainly not glee that is being expressed, more like disgust. 82000 and counting Americans are dead and we have the WH praising itself everyday.

I wasn't necessarily saying that you were expressing the glee, but it is certainly being demonstrated elsewhere.

We're about to be, we aren't yet. (as documented) Doubt it. Time will tell.
Some people are awfully gleeful about the prospect, though. Weird to see anyone cheering about deadly outbreaks and a possible economic depression, but anything to make Trump look bad is worth the devastation in a lunatic’s mind. waitafrickingminuet. Its republicans who are saying "There are things more important than living" and “it is always the American government’s position to say, in the choice between the loss of our way of life as Americans and the loss of life, of American lives, we have to always choose the latter.” They are the ones cheerleading for mass deaths to "save the economy" not the dems.

I will not deny that there are extremists on the Republican side, but that doesn’t excuse those who want disaster for political gain on the left. Either way, the “best” solution is somewhere in the middle. We can’t completely shut down and we certainly shouldn’t open up everything. Unfortunately the extremes are how it often plays out in binary America.

The media has been spending a lot of time trying to make the U.S. look like the worst country in terms of Covid response, and the second Trump shows a chart comparing our testing to that done in other countries suddenly they can't imagine why Trump is making this a "competition"?
Cognitive dissonance at its finest, and the claims of racism are just as ridiculous.
Lets say it together.
Quote: Democrats Good
Republicans Bad
Orange Man VERY VERY BAD
I wish this was just a joke or parody but the left really does break everything down to that. Their entire campaign strategy since 2016 can be summarized in three words "Orange Man Bad".
The saddest part of that is those three words have become the na-na-na-boo-boo response of the right. No intelligent, mature responses to be seen, because there are none. The Trump Virus has regressed this country back a hundred years, to an unemployment rate not seen since the great depression. How much more damage will Trump do to our country before he is removed?

putting political parties on the side... it wouldn't even matter if "the best solution" was presented. There's a minority of Americans that are too stupid to follow shelter in place orders, wear a mask or care about general public safety.

Yeah... but only America purposely celebrates stupidity with pride.
We don't even need fear like everywhere else, it's willful ignorance.

And I don't mean that we don't use fear at all, of course we do. Fear is an incredibly easy and powerful tool.
I mean that, we purposely without threat choose to put people in control of our lives that do not have our best interests in mind. We willfully allow things to happen that are incomprehensible to anyone with even the smallest amount of reasoning power.
And it happens on purpose... and we know it's on purpose... and no one cares! You can't better describe stupidity.

Sorry, but statements like that are pretty naïve. Don’t act like you’re intimately aware of the sociological differences of every country.

How often do you see any other countries idiots making decisions that influence their lives? (by choice)

Everyone thinks their government is run by idiots. Ask probably pretty much anyone from any country if they don't think there's some idiots in power... they will all say "of course".
Only our idiots are world renowned idiots. And we're proud of it.
(again, UK may be the exception)

I agree somewhat that we put people in control who do not have our best interests in mind, but it’s largely due to the fact that the corrupt people with all the power choose who we can put in control in the first place.
The idiots are the ones who think their party leaders care about the common man. It’s been a lesser of two evils game for ages, but somehow that translates into team sports where you give your people a pass just because you think the other team is worse. They’re all scum, and they should all be held accountable. Instead, you have situations where you get things like #BelieveAllWomenExceptWhenJoeBidenIsInvolved.
If Democrats actually put their money where their mouth is and hold their own people accountable (including ripping them to shreds in the media with the same fervor as they do Republicans) then I might actually become one, because I’d be willing to put aside my personal views to join with people who aren’t complete hypocrites. Instead I’m stuck rooting for a team I also don’t trust because my options are limited, but at least I’m not oblivious to my own side’s problems.

The system is broken. Not "broken" but purposely built and carefully manipulated.
"Yeah it looks broken alright, but what can I do about it right. Just go along to get along"
And the *** of it is, we do have people that know this. But you can't just "make a third party" (we have other parties) All they do is ensure republicans will win every time. All the rational people split their votes between Dem/Green/Independent. There is no strong "steal votes from republican party third party" (mostly)
Any vote not literally for Biden is a vote for Trump. And that's part of how we get *** every time. (not that Biden is a good choice either!) besides gerrymandering, and not campaigning in non-swing states and only the people with enough money are even allowed to "try". And just voting in general is a garbage process. Miss work. Stand in lines for hours. Pray that you actually get counted because the machine may or may not work "properly".
The whole damn thing sucks. We disenfranchise our own people from even bothering. Everyone knows "my vote doesn't count" well it sure as *** doesn't if you don't go.
250,056,000 / 138,847,000 55.7%
That 44.3% ain't republicans staying home.

How is anyone that's anywhere near a Democrat *** every time? Before Trump there was 8 years of Obama. Before Bush Jr there was 8 years of Clinton.
Let's look at the 20th century
1901-1913 Republican 12 years
1913-1921 Democrat 8 years
1921-1933 Republican 12 years
1933-1953 Democrat 20 years
1953-1961 Republican 8 years
1961-1969 Democrat 8 years
1969-1977 Republican 8 years
1977-1981 Democrat 4 years
1981-1993 Republican 12 years
1993-2001 Democrat 8 years
Total:
Republican 52 years
Democrat: 48 years - including FDR's 12 term just himself.
So far in the 21st century:
2001-2009 Republican 8 years
2009-2017 Democrat 8 years
2017-2021 Republican 4 years
So.....who's getting screwed?
we all are because these *** puppets are owned by (insert name of corporation) and don't care about you, me, or anyone else

Flynn judge weighs contempt charge, perjury
Quote: The federal judge presiding over former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s criminal case suggested on Wednesday that he is considering the possibility of holding President Trump’s former aide in contempt for perjury.
U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan also tapped a retired federal judge to argue against the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) motion to drop the criminal prosecution of Flynn.
John Gleeson, who spent 22 years as a judge and served as a federal prosecutor before entering private practice, will serve as an amicus curiae, or friend of the court, in opposition to the DOJ’s recently adopted position that Flynn’s case should be dismissed.
Among the issues Sullivan has asked Gleeson to address is “whether the Court should issue an Order to Show Cause why Mr. Flynn should not be held in criminal contempt for perjury.”
Well, the twists keep on coming for the guilty Mike Flynn. The judge doesn't seem to be amused with the rogue DOJ's antics.

One of my friends has a FB post that I imagine some have seen, but it's worth putting here:
Quote: If you carry a gun everywhere
so that you can stop a mass shooting,
but you won't wear a mask anywhere to
stop pandemic from spreading, your
actual goal is to feel like a badass,
not to protect the people around you.
