Same thing happened to me, after a google search i found this, ran this and it worked.
Here is what you need to run, change the first lines path to where your game is installed to: cd /d "D:\games\Steam\SteamApps\common\ffxi\SquareEnix\" pause FOR /R %%G IN (*.dll) DO regsvr32 /s "%%G" pause Save this as a batch file (ie. register.bat) and then run it from an admin level command prompt window. nor me, just change the instal line to where u saved ur games, eg mine is cd /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\"
Just open up a text file, copy that in and save as say ffix.bat and then run as admin, reboot and all good Really no need, just create that text file and run it, will fix your issues,

Reinstalling game wont fix ur problem , its a fault in the registry

Yep, i have done my bit, i dont normally comment on forum posts, but as i had the exact same issue yesterday i thought id try help a fellow player out, not much more i can do lol

Secondarily, can said text file be deleted after the fact, or is this file now integral?
