I live in Oswego County NY. It's above that lonely little county that is blue in all of central NY. If it was not for the large numbers in NYC, NY would be dark red. That is why there is a big push right now going on the next ballot to split NY into 2 autonomous regions. Not split the state just split the ruling of the entire state by NYC.
NYC is for it, Upstate is for it, Cuomo is against it.

Thanks for that update, I didn't know NY was sounding so REAONSABLE. One area of a State or Country should not be able to LORD over the 75% remaining.

My home state of Maine has proportional provisioning of votes, it's the only New England state to do so. The highest vote count in each congressional district wins that districts vote, the highest for the entire state wins both senate votes. Last election the northern district voted for Trump, the southern voted for Hillary and the total vote was 354,873 Hillary vs 334,838 Trump. The result was one EC vote for Trump and three EC votes for Hillary.
I think our politics would be a lot more competitive, a lot less partisan and whole lot more honest if this system was used for every state. Both parties would have to be more moderate, no more super liberal crazies or super conservative crazies.

The only way I would read anything that is 300 pages is if I was locked in prison...and even then I might not. Reading is terrible I highly discourage it. I haven't learned a damn thing ever....and the things I did learn I forgot.
