I'm going to reserve judgment for a few weeks.
That being said, this is an excellent object lesson in how, despite all the lip service to the contrary, the majority of the Left cares far less about federal workers not getting paid than they do about pointing and laughing at Trump.
I get the feeling that Trump already knows this, but the Left has proven time and time again that it doesn't understand Trump. There's no guarantee that he'll get the last laugh, but you'd better believe that he's not going to give in again. I expect him to declare a national emergency in a few weeks.

Economists conclude the cost of he shutdown was more than what was requested for the wall.
This makes dems entirely unreasonable.

NY Mag ran an article about him being a "radical centrist" (LOL). Apparently he's a Democrat who's absolutely nuts for thinking that single-payer healthcare isn't doable and that the growing national debt is a bigger problem than climate change.
Any leftist that NY Mag hates is good in my book. I hope he has a highly influential independent run as the only leftist candidate with even a modicum of common sense.
I mean, yeah, he has no chance of winning. And by no means do I want him to run simply because it would peel off votes from the Democrat candidate.

lol, there is no deadline, no ticking clock, no pressure. The House will pass a bill funding the government with a border security package that includes zero for the wall, and send it on to the GOP Senate, who want nothing to do with Trump shutdown 2.0. There will probably be some drama there between McConnell and the WH, but its hard to imagine there wouldn't be a vote, make Trump veto it. He has no leverage, no public support, no alternative.

She managed the shutdown very poorly and it shows.

Nausi will never concede that Pelosi cleaned out Trump during his shutdown, so there is no way he is going to ever "let them have their victory." I mean, he is resorting to favorability ratings and ignoring every other metric the polls sampled just to still be wrong.
