The offer hasn't changed, only the positioning. The Dems are much stronger, Trump is significantly weaker. 1.3b for border security, nothing for the wall. Take the deal and move on.
The problem is Trump worries more about his brand image (great in the business world; bad in the political world) than what’s actually good for the whole of country.
He’s going to shut it down again 3 weeks and call national emergency to allocate 7 billion.
His base will say see he’s a power player! The rest of America will say you can’t do that, that’s not how governance work.
However this time around he doesn’t have a Republican controlled house that’s willing to look the other way.
It’s going to end spectacular fashion. There may not be enough popcorn.
