The problem is Trump worries more about his brand image (great in the business world; bad in the political world) than what’s actually good for the whole of country. He’s going to shut it down again 3 weeks and call national emergency to allocate 7 billion. His base will say see he’s a power player! The rest of America will say you can’t do that, that’s not how governance work. However this time around he doesn’t have a Republican controlled house that’s willing to look the other way. It’s going to end spectacular fashion. There may not be enough popcorn. His threats fell on deaf ears during his shutdown, and they will continue to. Presidents don't have the option of going around Congress, I don't think Trump really understood what the Dems taking over the House meant for his agenda and his life, as Schumer said, hopefully he learned his lesson. If not, we will just keep teaching it.

Like how dumb are Democrats to think this is actually a good deal for them? Trump comes off completely reasonable, Dems completely unreasonable and on top of that, total liars (like always).
Economists conclude the cost of he shutdown was more than what was requested for the wall.
This makes dems entirely unreasonable. (Probably why they agreed to come to the table) Even the right wing media said "Trump Folded Like A Cheap Suit" with no better a deal than the one he refused to sign weeks ago.
Oh, and no wall. But as I expected a commission to study border security. I'm going to reserve judgment for a few weeks.
That being said, this is an excellent object lesson in how, despite all the lip service to the contrary, the majority of the Left cares far less about federal workers not getting paid than they do about pointing and laughing at Trump. I get the feeling that Trump already knows this, but the Left has proven time and time again that it doesn't understand Trump. There's no guarantee that he'll get the last laugh, but you'd better believe that he's not going to give in again. I expect him to declare a national emergency in a few weeks.
