So then we can agree that the work is low skilled in nature and can be done by citizens for the right wage?

so penalize companies that use low wage undocumented immigrants.

and pay citizens an honest wage.
How about prioritize americans over illegals.

isn't that exactly what that would accomplish? lol

There is an over/under of 5 on how many lies Trump will tell in his "speech" tonight. I wish I knew how long he plans on rambling on so I could know whether to bet on the over or push.

So freaking hard to figure that one out.

I mean whatever rebut you have to this assuming you don't just ignore it like Vic (lol), you cannot possible suggest illegal immigration doesn't cost us any money. Therefore putting up a wall which will slow or even stop the flood of illegal crossings will necessarily save us money.
Thanks. But the only entries on the positive side are tax payments. There is nothing on the economic benifits of employers like Trump or Devin Nunes, for instance, being able to pay lower wages. Or, for that mater, being able to hire workers at all.

Farm workers: Take our jobs, please!

I am not saying this turns the fiscal impact positive, I can't. I am saying that this is not accounted for in the paper you linked.

What I do not understand for the life of me is why do liberals fight for higher wages for ***like fast food workers but when you mention agricultural job wages being raised they flip?

As the thing chanti I think posted a page back or so it stated that illegals work for lower waged jobs which is good for economy. Wouldn't higher paying jobs for citizens be better? ***if we are going to pay mcburgerflipper $15 an hour but it's of to pay a hardworking farm worker minimum wage?

The logic escapes me from the left.

That... or you can't make the connection that federal minimum wage rate is across the board and that the hardworking farm worker also have that as their base minimum.

Reality is farms dont want to pay more, when they can get "unskilled" illegals at a bargain rate.

This is not a left v right issue. It's basic capitalism.

I already pointed that obvious fact out, but they just continue to pretend it doesn't exist. Its pretty amusing.

So by stopping illegal immigration, we’d also help the working class? I guess we should build a wall huh?

Ok you talk of unskilled labor. Is fast food not unskilled labor? You do not need a degree to throw 4 ingredients together and make a sandwich. I would wager the hardworking farm worker should be paid more than fast food. I guess I would say they are both unskilled.

I do not agree with the notion that we should raise minimum wage for specific industries like food service. In NY they raised it just for fast food. I stand by my basic argument of get the *** off your *** and get a real job! These jobs were not meant to make a living wage but lazy people who do not want to excel in life think they should be.

I do not eat fast food so I could give a ***when big macs cost $20 a pop but the dems in NY cater to lazy people and pass stupid ***like this.

THey have no grasp of economics. Markets work wonders when they are allowed to function freely. The resistance to markets amounts to nothing more than a feeble attempt to portray their propensity towards pity as compassion.

Just got a new alert that Mexico is sending hundreds of guards to it's southern border to stop future caravans.

Thoughts from the left?

Will post link when they actually publish a link-able article.
