So freaking hard to figure that one out.

https://fairus.org/sites/default/files/2017-09/Fiscal-Burden-of-Illegal-Immigration-2017.pdf

(one click later)

I mean whatever rebut you have to this assuming you don't just ignore it like Vic (lol), you cannot possible suggest illegal immigration doesn't cost us any money. Therefore putting up a wall which will slow or even stop the flood of illegal crossings will necessarily save us money.
Thanks. But the only entries on the positive side are tax payments. There is nothing on the economic benifits of employers like Trump or Devin Nunes, for instance, being able to pay lower wages. Or, for that mater, being able to hire workers at all.

Farm workers: Take our jobs, please!

I am not saying this turns the fiscal impact positive, I can't. I am saying that this is not accounted for in the paper you linked.

So then we can both agree illegals cost us tons of money?
So then we can agree that the work is low skilled in nature and can be done by citizens for the right wage?

What I do not understand for the life of me is why do liberals fight for higher wages for ***like fast food workers but when you mention agricultural job wages being raised they flip?

As the thing chanti I think posted a page back or so it stated that illegals work for lower waged jobs which is good for economy. Wouldn't higher paying jobs for citizens be better? ***if we are going to pay mcburgerflipper $15 an hour but it's of to pay a hardworking farm worker minimum wage?

The logic escapes me from the left.

This is not an accurate representation at all lol. Agriculture wages aren't mandated by the federal government, its the private sector. The farmers are the ones that determine how much they pay their workers, not the politicians. And guess what? They want to keep those wages as low as they can to maximize their profits. It has nothing to do with the "left."

As for raising the minimum wage, the states that have done that are blue states. Red states, ie the agriculture states, are doing nothing in that fight. So again, blaming the left is a joke.

Oh and, lets not pretend Americans want to be working in those fields for any wage. They never have and they never will.

Now vic is fighting for farmers rights to ise illegal labor. I guess he doesnt care about other unskilled american workera.

Just another example of him prioritizing illegals over americans. We shouldnt be surprised.

The logic escapes me from the left.

Different people have different opinions, some will like, some will dislike and some will have contradicting opinions, everyone "from the left" don't agree on all subjects, far from it.

Now, higher wages for citizens looks really good on paper, but you aren't actually saving money because products price will increase accordingly, then people will just end up being their products from elsewhere, like mexico.

This is happening here where fruits / vegetables made in Canada are way too expensive when compared to products from California / Mexico. Farmers complain people don't support them enough, but you know I'm not going to pay 10$ for strawberries when I can have more for half the price.

The cost of living is also much higher in urban areas where 15$ minimal wage makes more sense.

Is there actually enough people to replace all the illegal workers on farms?

There's no perfect solution, there needs to be some kind of balance.
Plenty of people not working in the states, the market will take care of the rest.

Lol, I will repeat, Americans have never, in our entire history, wanted the job of picking crops. It's cute that nausi is trying to gloss over that irrefutable fact, but it just makes it easier to pop his little balloon.

Reminder only 7% of people in the country think illegal immigration is not a problem.

Trump has the moral high ground on this, dems (and many Rs) are scared shitless as to what his address will bring tonight. They are doing everything they can to discredit it before he even opens his mouth.

Very fun to watch.

One third of women who travel to cross illegally are subject to rape and abuse. Putting up a wall will deter this.

Why do liberals want to encourage this to continue?
