Generally you don't want to link something that supports your opponent's argument:

Quote:
Military stalemate; both sides' invasion attempts repulsed

Also, the battle of New Orleans happened after the treaty, but the British forces didn't know about the treaty at the time, so I fail to understand why a victory there somehow doesn't count. It gave the Americans a huge morale boost and started an era of nationalism.

I grew up in New York. I visited the statue as a kid, more than once.

We were told the torch was closed due to structural issues (maybe not in those exact words) but weren't told what caused the structural issues.

Far more important historically is WE LOST THE WAR OF 1812. Yet Richard Nixon said "I will not be the first president to loose a war."

Uh, no boundary changes resulted from the war, and both sides won their share of battles. It was, for all intents and purposes, a stalemate.

Did the US sign a surrender? No. We didn't lose.

Fox News’ Chris Wallace Shreds Sarah Huckabee Sanders Over Border Terror Claims
“I studied up on this,” Wallace said as he disputed the White House press secretary’s claims about terrorists coming into the U.S.

The Roman republic destroyed itself. Are we on a similar path?

I might have to get that book.

I wouldn't say that's true, Beto wasn't around two years ago. But really, we can't wait for Nov 2020, just like we couldn't wait for Nov 2018. Not even remotely worried.

Oh please, please put all of your eggs in the Beto basket. Just stop searching for a viable candidate right now and give him the Clinton treatment all the way through the primaries.

In Red Texas, a state that's not going blue in 2020. Anyone can beat Trump, weakest incumbent since H.W, can't wait for the election.

I love your optimism and enthusiasm... but statistically speaking trump never should have won anything... I don't know if you are much of a gambler... but trump was a 25-1 long shot. Some crackpot, that I suspect is related to nausi, made 2.5 million dollars that night

always bet on trump

Perhaps.

But honestly a barely reelected Trump facing a democrat controlled house and senate is REAL popcorn material.

Also way more fun than seeing the dems with all three houses blow the opportunity again.

Its popcorn material for sure. We get to see the dems fully unmasked in their “flood america with illegals” agenda.

This stat does nothing for you. Immigration is of course a problem, but a strong majority support the liberal pathway to citizenship and that same majority opposes a border wall. No part of the Trump immigration agenda is popular, mainly because he has no plan whatsoever.

Yes, some people manage to beat border walls/fences with ladders, but the idea is that you want as many deterrents as possible. Walls/fences definitely slow people down, as does the barbed wire that tends to get installed in key areas. Just because something isn't a 100% deterrent doesn't mean it's not useful. If you think that way, go ahead and uninstall all your anti-virus software that will never be 100% effective and see how that works.

All the fantasy wall that will never be built has done is cover up and distract from the fact that the GOP failed to pass immigration reform in 2018, and subsequently got voted out of office. Americans support a pathway to citizenship and stronger border security, they have never supported a wall. Its just a shiny object for Trump. The Dems are gonna pass immigration reform this year, what is the GOP gonna do?

Illegal immigration costs over 100 billion a year. If a wall stops 1% of it, it will pay for itself in 5 years. If it stops 5% it pays for itself in one year. It will stop muh more than that.

This is the biggest no brainer positive liberals have chosen to die on. Walls work, its why we protect things with them. Liberals DONT want to fix this problem. They would rather govern through demographic replacement, and flood this nation with people who have to live on welfare.
