Its up to Paul Ryan to avoid the Trump shutdown, pass the clean CR that the Senate passed unanimously to keep the govt funded through January. The Senate is done, they bear no responsibility for this temper tantrum.

So, Trump shutdown is happening. Apparently Pence told lawmakers 1.6b for the stupid wall won't be enough, how does zero sound? Because that's whats on the table and its not changing. Dems are getting control of the House in 2 weeks regardless, so the Trump shutdown accomplishes nothing. The border wall is a dead idea. Should have focused on actual border security instead of a dumb fantasy.

More border agents, more technology, more immigration judges, more detention centers, those are all on the table, and are all way cheaper, safer, and way more reliable than a stupid wall that will never (and was never going to) be built. Its dead.

Lol, it would be nice if Trump had put the work in and illustrated the financial cost of his fantasy wall, but he never did, and Congress never took it seriously. As for voting to "remove it," that just happened. Dems take over in two weeks, and there will be no wall. This Trump shutdown accomplishes nothing, he had 2 years, he failed.
I suggest we build a large moat if it is good enough for a castle...it is good enough for America.
