Vic is talking as an authority about a movie he hasn’t even seen.

People don’t like the movie. This isn’t hard to comprehend. RT has it at 59% audience (this is terrible). Metacritic user score has it at 3.5 (this is also terrible. Critics for both sites have it at 80 and 64.

Once again there is a massive gap between critics and audience (just like last jedi). This isn’t because huttburt white men are upset, its because the movie legitimately sucks. And with good cause.

Larson’s performance was 1 dimensional and she is a terrible actor. She is just there to promote “girl power” and her own internal conflict amounts to standing up against vauge memories of her past that has no tangible connection to the story. This is a terrible unidentifiable mechanism for making her character likable.

The real question is, why are some people so bent on promoting this movie they are willing to make fools of themselves by shilling for an actress that is never going to care one way or another.

We will see this coming weekend whether or not people continue to go see Captain Marvel, that will tell us what audiences really think (Cinemablend is scoring it an A). I'm going to see it today, expecting a Phase 1.5 movie that probably should have come out the same year as Spiderman, or at least before Infinity War Part 1, and probably could have used a different director. Not worried about Brie Larson's performance.

Remember, the Last Jedi set the record for biggest one week dropoff in history. People went to see it, hated it with a passion, and never watched it again. We aren't seeing that kind of vitriol with Captain Marvel (not even close). Just a couple of trolls on FFXIAH that don't know what review bombs are. There is no argument for scoring it a 0/10.

No one has advocated scoring it a legitimate 0, but those reviews are just as warranted when compared to the idiots out there that review bomb it with a 10.

Theres plenty of space between zero and worst in the mcu pile as worst in the mcu pile starts below 7/10. I went with people who are as liberal as it gets. They think basement dwellers are butthurt over this and even they thought it was bottom fifth. Forgettable, and boring. What they fail to realize as do most soy consuming fans is that the energy poured into “girl power” wokeness could have been spent on a better more relatible inner conflict that would have translated into a more developed and successful character like spiderman or dr strange or even black panther.

RT has been very clear about why 50,000 reviews were purged, why don't you read up on it? If you can manage that is. Also, keep pretending that you aren't in full troll mode over Brie Larson being the titular character, its been a fun few pages to distract from Trump's failures. If I read this correctly, Right to Rise got $1.3M in illegal "campaign contributions" and got hit with a $390K fine leaving it with a $910K positive balance.

For me this is a serious WTF.

Par for the course, President Obama had the same problem along with Candidate Hillary. I believe President Clinton and Bush also had some fines to pay regarding illegal campaign contributions.

It's pretty common for this to happen. The paperwork takes a long time to process so by the time the FEC catches up the election is long over. They slap some fines around and everyone carries on with their day. It's also why liberals like you going bananas declaring paying off a hooker as "campaign contributions" is so funny.

If only people cared as much about comic book movies as they do who is in charge in Congress...

I'm confused so you are basing how good a movie is based on some guy on rotten tomatoes...that is just an average. Why don't you go see the movie and base it off that.

The only good thing RT is for is a general sense of how good it is. And whether a movie is a "rental" or a must see.
