Now I know this sounds crazy but it can help. Just a year or 2 ago not too far from me some old dude's house got broke into. Can't remember the details but at some point him and the intruder were in the bathroom and the robber not paying attention because who does when someone is using the bathroom when bam from behind the toilet a gun. The best part was after getting shot the robber ran away and called 911 trying to report being shot for no reason lol. Well that and he got several in before the old dude fired back

That's easy, more guns per household means more potential people carrying firearms? Husband and wife or son or daughters could all be potential carriers of weapons.

I'm unsure how more guns per household helps increase gun homicides with the exception of in a mass shooting where the suspect can draw from more than one firearm. Although it's important to point out that only 1 rifle was used in this week's shooting.

Stopped backreading when I saw an attempt to make theft and homicide comparable crimes. I'm surprised I got that far honestly, but that is some serious stupidity.

The kiddy gloves certainly don't help the problem but the source of the issue is the disintegration of the nuclear family caused by feminism and feminist originated laws. Shits gone to hell in a hand basket and children no longer have anything resembling family support structures to fall back on when stuff gets like this. I know from personal experience what these children go through and I'm very fortunate to have strong family that helped me through years of depression. If I hadn't had that then I could very easily of ended up like one of these unbalanced mass shooters.

The phrase "thoughts and prayers" is one of many idioms in the English language that has always bugged me.

I get the "prayers" part, because even the most cynical atheist would have to admit that if someone is following through and actually praying for the welfare of people instead of just saying it, that's at least an attempt to do something positive, which is more than can be said of the 99%+ of people who just whine while it's hot news and then proceed to forget about it until the next shooting.

But thoughts? What in the heck are thoughts going to do? And how do you send them? Are you telepathic?
