Thing is with Trump on guns if he does nothing ...outrage

If he does something it won't be enough... more outrage

So basically no matter what he does it will be wrong.

Sheesh. Trump says some very Democrat things about gun control and suddenly the left wingers are attacking him for those comments too. Apparently all it takes for the Left to destroy their own arguments is for Trump to come out in favor of them.

Maybe you are talking about his "take the guns, ignore due process" comments? Yeah, EVERYONE should be hitting him for that nonsense. He didn't misspeak either, I know that's the damage control spin.
Wouldn't doing as he said be in violation of the 14th amendment? Furthermore, wouldn't the California and New York confiscation stuff Saev mentioned also be in violation?

14th TL;DR - Government can't take your property without due process.

Also, the NRA states they are protecting the 2nd amendment but doesn't the 9th amendment do that?

9th TL;DR - Future amendments can't take away rights already given by the Constitution.

Am I mistakenly here?

Trump says a lot of things he is like me.

Today he wants to do this tomorrow he will change his mind.

I would expect some backpedaling on the proposed tariffs, as he has already scene backlash from several senior GOP senators as well as Paul Ryan, oh and the market dropped over 400 points today because of it.

Not just the 14th, but the 2nd, and the 4th. That's not a "Left" issue, like I said, everyone should be hitting him for that nonsense. Also, yes you can ignore Saevel, California isn't seeing mass gun confiscations. And the Dems are not for what he is making up.

This wouldn't be federally backed and wouldn't stand in federal court. I can only assume California is doing it because they think guns cause cancer like everything else.

Oh that's the insidious part, the 9th just rubber stamps everything and while people have won cases they didn't stop the police from confiscating them.

It works like this, the police knock on your door and ask to come verify the weapons you registered. People open the door and let them in, which waives their 4th amendment rights. The police then search the home and confiscate all firearms without question or warrant. The citizen then has to hire a lawyer and contest the confiscation in a super liberal court, eventually the judges grant that the citizen has proven they don't have any mental illness's or reason to not possess firearms and order the police to return them. By now the police have already destroyed those guns per the law.

The first key hinges on how the laws written, the police can confiscate weapons from anyone they believe to be mentally unfit. The criteria for this is non-existent and 100% at the discretion of the officer. Then the citizen must contest and prove they are mentally fit.

The second key is that most citizens have zero knowledge about how the Constitution actually works. While the police are enabled to confiscate any firearms they see, they aren't enabled to search houses without warrant. That is why they "ask" to come in, though it's phrased as a search order. All the citizen needs to do is ignore the police entirely and they can keep their weapons because then the police would need to prove to a judge that your not mentally fit to own a firearm.

See it's that entire "mental illness" line used against the civilian population.

Yes they do that.

California law allows law enforcement to destroy confiscated firearms if they aren't returned within a few months, and the court proceedings can take significantly longer then that.

This is the result of "sensible gun control", laws deliberately written vaguely to enable the police maximum effectiveness.

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/19/california-gun-confiscation-bill_n_3117238.html

That same law has been repeatedly expanded and altered. It's now up to the citizen to prove the confiscation was "in error". There are a few clause's that are open to interpretation and can be abused. The first is if the officer feels the weapons could potentially do harm, then they can confiscate them on the spot and the citizen needs to prove it was in error. The second involves the "medical" clause that all the liberals demand. The way it's phrased is that any admittance to a medical establishment for any mental related illness places the individual on a secret list that prohibits them from owning a firearm. The kicker is that the person who enters them on the list is the front desk receptionist not a medical doctor. Go to see a doctor about depression? Your now prohibited from owning a firearm and the police will attempt to confiscate them for destruction without compensation. Had a fight with your spouse and the cops got called? Your now prohibited from owning a firearm and they've already confiscated and destroyed them. Had an argument with your neighbor, they called the cops and your now prohibited from owning a firearm and they will come attempt to confiscate them.

To be placed on this list doesn't require a judges approval, just someone entering your name into a computer system and viola your now legally prohibited from possessing a firearm, until you pay for a lawyer to prove you are. If your really lucky, then you can get your guns back because the police are too backlogged and haven't destroyed them yet.

I wouldn't call them actors, more like selectively picked out and coached. They were effected by a very traumatic event, this is real PTSD level ***here. Being in an active combat zone, which is what that school was during that time, really *** with the human mental condition, it's like having your mind raped. Then you have a bunch of people swoop in and offer their support to these victims, and those same people end up coaching and manipulating them into furthering a political aim. It doesn't take much, just a few push's to have all that pent up trauma directed into rage at the supposed "enemy".

Instead of being coerced into taking political action those children need to be in small groups dealing with the mental scaring PTSD gives you. I'm personally pissed at the manipulators using those children's trauma to push a political agenda. If they really cared they would have them in therapy with other PTSD survivors. Not out doing political rallies and talking on TV and ***.

Oh your completely correct, the government can't take your property but they can charge your property with a crime and your property doesn't get any Constitutional rights to due process as it's not a person. Civil forfeiture is real and evil.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_forfeiture_in_the_United_States

The take away from all this ***is that any power given to the government, federal and state, will eventually be abused by that same entity. Law of unintended consequences will always catch up and state actors are extremely good at finding loopholes and reinterpreting laws to suite their own desires.

Well yeah, I was referring to the crazy conspiracy theorist definition of crisis actors. But the kids are definitely being exploited out the wazoo. The problem is that people lose sympathy the second that they realize how contrived and political it has all become, which is something that the Left can never seem to understand. They think they can script, coach, and put these kids on a soapbox and gain new converts to their agenda, even though all they're really doing is preaching to the choir of bleeding hearts.
