It is reported that there are no factual inaccuracies in the memo.

Obviously if it implicates the DOJ and FBI, it's a pretty safe bet that the DOJ and FBI aren't going to want it to come out. I'm not sure how people are actually turning off their brains on this point, but I was also told that Trump was gonna tank the economy worse than the great depression, yet now that everything is soaring, it is somehow because of Obama's policies.

The mental gymnastics olympics are no doubt gonna continue for 7 more years. It's a very long competition.

Only report I have seen is Wray is concerned with the fact the memo seems to be cherry picking facts and omitting key details but I don't read nausi's conspiracy websites.

It is however reported that there are omissions that would change the conclusions draw from the data. However I'd like to see what that is... but given the nature of this actual info that is most relevant to ongoing investigations is likely to stay classified for now

Which is why many republicans are calling for the release of the underlying intel. Also why the dems crafted their own memo. Which they aren't permitted to release. Will they make much stink about that? Or will they once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.

/popcorn

Oh, interesting numbers:
Quote:
All told, 41 Republican House members have said they will either retire or seek another office, compared to 16 Democrats
From:
House Republicans are retiring in droves. What's pushing them out?
USA Today

Question. What happens if the dems, with a few of the vanishing GoP moderates, can get a veto proof majority?

This could happen. Low odds, but possible.

I'm talking house Vic.

As in if the dems can get 58 - 60% could they add enough moderate repubs, assuming there are any left, to get 66%?

And in other news:

FBI has 'grave concerns' about controversial Republican memo
BBC

Quote:
The FBI has publicly challenged a push by Republican lawmakers to release a controversial memo which purports to show anti-Trump bias at the agency.

"We have grave concerns about the material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy," the FBI said in a statement.

A top Trump aide said on Wednesday they would release the top secret document "pretty quick", despite the objections.

Democrats claim the memo is an attempt to discredit the FBI-led Russia probe....

Oh hey, now the house committee transcripts are coming out:

https://www.scribd.com/document/370456823/HMTG-115-IG00-Transcript-20180129

It’s getting juicy.
I read through most of that before nearly dying of boredom. What exactly is the juicy part?
I will second that.

Page 5 paragraph 2.

Only Schiff and Gowdy have seen the intelligence the memo is based on. Nunes doesn’t have clearance to access the materials. He lost his TS/SCI back in April-May of 2017.

You can make your own inferences.

Those are some ignorant people .... probably confused Native North Americans with illegal economic migrants from South America.

The one set of people I won't ever give any ***to is the Native Americans. Those *** fought very well against a vastly superior force with no real hope of victory and still managed to make a name for themselves.

Schiff: Memo Trump Is Reviewing Was 'Secretly Altered'
A rep for Nunes counters the changes were cosmetic

Quote:
(Newser) – The debate about whether to release a memo regarding FBI surveillance just took a twist: House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff alleges the White House is debating the release of the wrong memo. In a letter sent to committee chair Devin Nunes, Schiff alleges that on Wednesday his staff realized that the four-page memo President Trump is considering for release had been "secretly altered," making it "materially different" than the version the committee approved for release on Monday. The letter calls it "imperative" that the memo be withdrawn, per CNN. "If the Majority remains intent on releasing its document to the public, despite repeated warnings from DOJ and the FBI, it must hold a new vote to release to the public its modified document," it continues.

Schiff tweeted a copy of his letter, which does not detail how the discovery was initially made. A rep for Nunes says the allegations are essentially hogwash and calls them an "increasingly strange attempt" to keep the memo from seeing the light of day. Per the rep, there were changes made, but they include only fixes to grammar and "two edits requested by the FBI and by the Minority themselves." The Washington Post observes that while congressmen criticize their peers regularly, "rarely does a member literally blow the whistle on another lawmaker in such dramatic fashion in full public view." And it argues that the case of Schiff and Nunes is particularly remarkable, in that the pair were formerly described as having "something of a bromance." Its piece looks at their backgrounds and their seemingly shattered relationship.

Nothing funny about it. Just further proves the truth of the left's narrative that most Trumpers are Nazis and Klansmen.

Oh my an insightful thought from CJ...wait a predictable post that adds nothing of value !

Looks like Trump's FBI director is preparing an immediate rebuttal to this cherry picked memo, which is losing more and more credibility by the day.

You don't even know what is in it how can you even begin to say it is losing credibility? haha

Anything for libs to downplay this into nothing. I have no idea what is in it and neither do you. Could be a bombshell, could be a nothingburger. We simply do not know.

If Nunes' memo is bogus, Nunes will have willfully committed political suicide. The piling on after that happens would be unlike anything else we've ever seen. Democrats would just need to sit back and let it happen.

Except they aren't doing that. Instead they are doing everything they can to avoid releasing this and to try and discredit the memo before it comes out.

That means with almost absolute certainty, they are terrified. This memo is going to be terrible for them.

Such a broad brush you paint your delusions with. I could say most libs are idiots, but I cannot prove it and neither can you deny it. Let us keep the discussion to what we know.

If you don't believe that some on both sides are dumbasses take a hop over to change.org and read some of those gems. There is one today up that I got an email on a little while ago to sign asking for the President to ban tide pods due to recent trends in eating them. I do not know any republicans that use change.org but I know alot of dems that do.

Uh, the way it was prepared? The person that prepared it? The way it was rammed through the committee and the House? The way Trump's own FBI director that he appointed is criticizing the cherry picking that is in it? No Democrat is "terrified" of this, and it certainly isn't going to affect the Mueller investigation.

on a side note, I know I have been out of the loop with appointments and meetings these last 2 weeks but I just did a search on this and it is actually a new trend to eat tide pods? What dumbass mf'er came up with this one. 11 deaths so far and over 300 hospitalizations! I say take the warnings off these products and let nature sort them out. Videos aplenty on youtube of it. The scary thing is it looks like these people will be voting in a few years.
