That or they go and put a steroid injection into all the seal NMs, popping the NM itself isnt that big an issue most of the time, but the proc system, especially for a new player who's likely solo along with the drop rates themselves, and still is subject to just bad rng, especially when you're on body seals, which from memory were the more annoying NMs to deal with/more iffy drop rates, the kupon is just a no-brainer whenever its available because doing aby NMs is awful
They did similar to sky god popsets iirc, where it drops multiple pops, just apply the same to aby NMs in regards to seals(though if you goof and apply it to emp weapon items that's cool too)
Yeah, bodies are a different level of annoyance, i just haven't farmed aby nms in ages (for good reason) to recall just how bad they could be beyond my memories of trying to farm the sabo for blu bodies/ironclad for drk bodies.
Point being the seal drop rates without procs are already pretty trsh, with procs they're still trash as it could just be more of a seal you didnt need, and requires you to engage with the proc system which requires specific jobs that a person may not have, obviously you would get help but that's not always an option so you're stuck beating your head against rng just to begin a further grind with rem's just to get it to an ilvl state and then work on the vagary requirements after that(though thankfully there's "solo" bosses for that)
It's just not an enjoyable experience especially when compared to artifact/relic armor. Fact they added a kupon could imply they know it's not a good experience; so just bump the rates in the pool/how many drop slots are in the pool, etc. If that creates a sea of seals when you yellow proc, good.
In the past I thought they were opting for shorter campaigns for those they deemed "too good" to be lasting the whole period of time, but now I'm a bit puzzled about it, honestly.
They talked about it in the last AMAN live. Next month is a technical test with the eventual aim of synchronizing campaigns with the monthly updates. They want less/no down time between campaigns but they said it may be confusing while they throw stuff at the wall to see how best to do it.
Imagine a new player trying to farm this stuff - madness.
Saw it plenty, you either helped them with the NMs, or it was kupon season and tried to corral them to just standing in the BC entrance or using an orb, along with telling them to have 20+ free slots for the numerous other junk.
One is a whole lot more preferable than the other since its guaranteed progress vs 1-2 hrs of potentially partial progress.
The harder part is the vagary bosses tbh, as atleast previously wasnt well marked as an option to unlocking 119, not sure if that has been changed along with explaining how to get to the BC and such. Empyrean armor in general is just kind of a mess in comparison to the other jse
don't bother with yellow. it helps, but with power levels today its faster to just kill asap than try to proc
Bordering on pedantic, but if you're one of the people with a bunch of chars it's definitely worth proccing. With fast cast and knowledge of the spells (or a decent bot), you can usually knock out grellow in under 30 seconds and it at least doubles drops. Doesn't matter if the NM dies instantly, it takes over a minute just to repop the ??? so that alone makes grellow better.
Obviously pretty much everyone should yellow proc on body NMs. The easiest bodies to pop are still one sub-NM with a <100% trigger and one trash mob.
Of course, the people who need it most aren't likely to have the job flexibility or mules to make it easy. They also might not even have discernment.
Hahaha, This reminds me of when Blm burn was the answer to everything. Then TP burn rolled around also. This is how I imagine the development team lol.
I don't remember tbh, doing that was so painful I had to unsub for a few months just to rehab enough so I never want to Aby seal farm again. It was probably blm/brd.
No game should force its players to do ***like that.
The proc system wasn't that bad. I mean, it could be worse and obscure like "Go to Flux #7 and stare at it for 30 seconds." with zero context or hints of how someone would ever figure out to do that. lol
The proc system was fun at the time, you could low man it and it was a bit novel since you were just mashing the same WS over and over again. Plus often low manning it you wanted different seals from your friends or if you had multiple jobs you could get seals for more than one.
Now? if you've done most of them getting that 1 seal type solo when you can only do a limit number of procs just feels like a pointless chore having done it a plethora of times already. Sometimes you can get a friend to help and and its not so bad then (being able to hold multiple pops to cut down on travel helps too, although many zones are too bad).
original htb avatars are the last "full" one iirc, before that was the dynamis rework. Atleast from what i recall everything else is a singular proc like WSing from behind, or land a debuff, etc.
