If you were going to fix chocobo racing and make it worth doing, how would you do it.

A whole zone was made and wasted on it.
There are a ton of things that could be improved with chocobo raising including but no limited to stats being invisible, over-reliance on care plans for improving stats, and negative stats from care plans. As for the races themselves, the biggest issue is that chocobucks are too hard to get for how many you need.

But to make racing worth doing it all comes down to rewards. The exclusive titles are a good start for completionists but there needs to be a better incentive to keep doing it. Even something like silver vouchers. Personally I'd love to see something like silver or even rainbow mog pells as a reward.

now theyre * 2

I see that they are double now, but the boxes were doubled in the first iteration, so it's jp/segs, and the gil thrown in

Anyone understand Fujito's comment on it being difficult to make Campaign Battles level 99 content?

Seems like it shouldn't be that hard to buff the attacking beastman and the defending NPCs from the nations into level 99, and then add ilvl 119 gear using the models from WoTG in exchange for allied notes (or a new currency if needed).

It's a bummer that WoTG zones/content is kind of useless.

Beseiged is 1 main battlefield and 3 strongholds. Campaign is every area on the map is a potential battlefield, or a stronghold depending on if beastmen have it ir not.

Its not impossible but its several times mire work than beseiged is and you see how quick thats going

Right, but it low key feels like they're drip feeding it on purpose.

All I'd want is for them to buff the mobs to level 130 or whatever, then provide exemplar points for completing campaign battles + add ilvl 119 versions of gear that already exists. We don't really need any *new* features to make the content somewhat relevant again.

All I want is 6 more arms, so I will have enough fingers to count how many weeks it's been since I ACTUALLY SAW A *** BESIEGED!

I'm sorry, I know it's not your fault. Please forgive me.

Seriously though, Besieged is like a god damn seasonal event. Campaign is more active than Besieged, but still littered with downtime and idle. Fun while active, but never active enough to be fun.

Step 1: Get a linkshell
Step 2: Ask them to tell you when they see the besieged message
Step 3: Go to besieged

If there are more than like...10 people in your linkshell, you're nearly 100% guaranteed to see every besieged notification ever.

Alternatively: just hang out in town. You'll get a message in your chat telling you 30~60 minutes in advance of besieged.

Alternative alternative: Check the region info every couple hours.

I have been doing besieged twice/month every month for the past several years, it is extremely easy to do, I never go out of my way to do it, and it's usually done within the first few days of the month. It's very trivial. I don't track the progression of besieged, but if I had to guess, I think it probably happens like..4+ times a day?

There's pretty much always a campaign battle going on somewhere. I don't recall a whole lot of downtime. It was also super fun content when it was relevant. This seems like pretty low hanging fruit for SE to re-use old content and add a whole lot to do

You'll be able to reforge your armor up to +4 now. Also, since it's an area packed full of monsters, I think it might be a good choice for character leveling as well. Please refer to the version update info that accompanies the next update for more details regarding level settings, upgrades, and more.

So the +4 step is just a point grind on trash mobs that will pretty evidently give EP, and the rest isn't implemented yet. All I can picture is the entire KRT (and any Locus zone, really) population migrating to these zones permanently. Hope I'm wrong.

There's no reason RMT wouldn't flock to it because idiots would pay for EP+points for +4

Use ChatGPT to fix your English, e.g.:

Quote:
Here’s a corrected and clearer version of your text in English, keeping your original meaning and structure intact while making it more understandable:

The secret to soloing Vagary:

Do all the objectives and clear all mobs using AoE weapon skills, then kill all the NMs. No one before me knew about this method, and I’ve never heard or seen anyone else use it. I research the game thoroughly and test everything myself.

The job setup:

The key job is NIN/SAM. Using Hasso and other job abilities, you can perform a 6-step skillchain with a level 1 Great Katana, spamming Jinpu without swapping gear for the WS. This is specifically for proc mode. For magic burst (MB) objectives, create a skillchain with two Jinpus and then follow up with a Wind-element spell for the burst.

You only need two buffers to cap magic haste—either WHM + BRD, or WHM + GEO. It also works with RDM (as healer) + GEO.

Use a dagger (Ambuscade) for AoE weapon skills to clear mobs when you have magic buffs active.

You can see whenever Besieged is taking place through your menu. I' a filthy, bottom feeder casual who's been logging in 3 or 4 times a week for a couple hours, and I've done ilvl Besieged multiple times over the last couple weeks.

Wow, just logged in and got a Mog Kupon W-MOG-B on all my characters... o.O

Looked at the list but so many of them look really cool. Which options would be the best to grab? I took a Miracle Cheer for my pocket BRD. I still have 8 though on my main account(I have a lot of mules for crafting) not sure what to get with though. Any ideas?

There are literally like 3-4 threads about it.

Races are now almost completely random. Stats and items used to help until someone found a way to win most of the time for money, SE ended up patching the heck out of it afterwards. It's been so busted it's just not worth doing.

I watch almost every race I participate in and items definitely make a difference, although the only one that's easy to see is speed apple. I've raised/raced multiple chocobo simultaneously and you can't win consistently with no item.

Also, stat build will make or break you. I raised a second racing chocobo with a different build and it's crazy how inconsistent it is compared to my previous one.

Update preview released shows these in for June still:
・ Ease certain upgrade costs for artifact gear
・ Ease certain upgrade costs for relic gear
・ Ease job card exchange rate

Is this a mistake or are they reducing the requirements even further?
