BLM's core message has been misconstrued from the very beginning since any attempt to elevate a minority status is viewed as an attack on "Real America". See just about any civil rights issue ever. How does openly calling for killing cops and white people a civil rights issue?

One group has only had the luxury of equality and socioeconomic opportunities in the US for about 50yrs while the other well...lol shall we do the math?
