Ugh, here comes another argument on economics. Seriously, you can find a graph or metric or whatever to back up any opinion on any economic event. The New Deal saved the world. The New Deal hurt the poor and middle class. The New Deal did practically nothing. The New Deal increased the crocodile population in Bumpkinville, Florida by 3%.

Correlation and causation are not the same thing, hence my comment above. It's also the reason why you can have highly educated economists disagreeing with each other on the exact same data. Nothing's as cut and dry as 12 seconds of research on Wikipedia might lead you to believe.

As you can see from this graph  The crocodile population remained relatively stagnant until a steady increase began between the years of 1981 and 1989. Reaganomics did more for American Crocodiles than that progressive hack and his New Deal ever could.
