Whats your source that Rice requested unmasking of these people? The pattern of Rice's requests was discovered in a National Security Council review of the government's policy on "unmasking" the identities of individuals in the U.S. who are not targets of electronic eavesdropping, but whose communications are collected incidentally.
No I mean you could still suspect that it's "facts I don't like" but given that Rice hasn't denied these reports. I'd argue that you're holding onto a big nothing burger, but that's certainly isn't something unusual in our ffxi fam.

So the "sources" are a pair of blogs, one of which focuses on the transition, neither of which pass nausi's criteria of being independently verified.

It's facts I don't like if it's false. But you could certainly suspect the "Susan Rice thing" (whatever you specifically mean by that) of being facts I don't like until it's otherwise verified.
So it can be facts I don't like while being true? This concept is hard to grasp.
Clearly you're struggling with the concept.
One needs to be able to reasonably verify that it's true before it could no longer be considered "facts I don't like". Problem is that libs (in particular) point to big huge news outlets (MSM) and say "case closed" embracing the notion that they're motivated by promoting the truth instead of their narrative's and their ideology.
Keep trying and one day you'll understand.

Ok lets discuss why she, as an advisor to the president would need to know the identities of individuals caught up in incidental surveillance.

It has less to do with the legality of Rice's actions, but more to do with the appearance of political motivations for her actions. The fact that she's lying and backtracking is just hurting her case, and her proven history of lying isn't helping.

How is it part of her job? Let's crack open the implication that she needs to unmask people often or at all.
If you believe Vic, she isn't allowed to unmask anyone. So why did she need to request it for trump and/or members of his team?

Let me guess, to you, the moon landing was made up, as the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01, JFK being assassinated, and the Berlin Wall is still up and working as intended. No to all? Care to try again? Or giving up? You just made up a bunch of stuff and you can't back it up with anything, especially the funny bit about how what Rice "did" was illegal, when you can't even prove she did anything. Of course, lets not discount your claim that the intel community doesn't have the right to intel.
