Probably the Huffington Post. It's already proven to be a popular platform from which to drop a load of crap.

For ***'s sake. It was made with the intention of getting more people on insurance and making it affordable through regulation and subsidies was the mechanism through which it would happen. Pedantry isn't an argument.

It was made with the intention of leading to single payer government health care. Period.

As long as we have insurance industry lobbying, we will not have single payer.

Team Trump could get a LOT of Democrats on board with a universal health insurance plan.

No he wouldn't. Absolutely nothing he does right now would be accepted by the Democrats, they are in a slash and burn phase and will continue to be in one until after they lose the 2020 elections. The Republicans did the exact same thing after President Obama was elected, and the results here will be no different. The Radical left is at the helm and they will under no circumstance Trump in a position of power.

Right now if I gave a button to the Dems and said "if you push this Trump will be removed from power and you'll get to put your own person there, the price for this is one million children dying", they would without hesitation push that button. Their excuse, like all fanatics, would be "it's for the greater good".

France elections: Macron and Le Pen 'through to run-off'
BBC

Quote:
The centrist Emmanuel Macron will face far-right leader Marine Le Pen in a run-off for the French presidency on 7 May, multiple projections indicate.

Mr Macron leads with 23.7% in first round voting while Ms Le Pen won 21.7%, an Ipsos/Sopra Steria poll suggests.

Opinion polls in the run-up to the ballot consistently saw Mr Macron defeating his rival in the final round.

The two saw off a strong challenge from centre-right François Fillon and hard-left Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

Another projection, from TF1/RTL, put Mr Macron and Ms Le Pen neck and neck in the first round. Final results are expected in the coming hours.

The French interior ministry said that with 20 million votes counted, Ms Le Pen led on about 24% of the vote. This would represent about half the vote, but does not include major cities.

For as much as you may hate the Dems for putting the ACA in place... the republicans have had a chance to repeal it now but have chosen not to... they set it up so that Obama had to veto a repeal 6 or 7 times while in office but now that they control all three branches they haven't moved to repeal it... they failed to repeal/replace t under a budgetary move but other than that it no longer seems like it's their intention to get rid of it... I wonder why that is...

Why do you care what people choose to identify as? I don't really get it all either... it makes my head hurt when people try to explain it to me but other than that why does it get you all in a tizzy about it?

The problem with people identify as random genders is much more of a social one. If it becomes the norm it does effect how we engage people in average conversation and just adds another egg shell we can step on. It is also illogical and adds nothing to society. People can do whatever they want to do, but don't make the gender fluidity thing a social norm.

and doing the "pee pee dance" while he waits for someone of his same gender to go into one first...

That's me in a tizzy?

If someone told you there were a ninja, would you still feel obliged to indulge them in their delusion? What about a T-Rex? Is there a line anywhere? Why is it that the only person obligated to give up their values (aka you have the chromosomes therefore you are male/female) is me?

Saying people can do whatever they want then in the next breath telling them not to do something... hmmm...

There have always been eggshells to step and there always will be... whether it's gender identification or race or religion or whatever someone comes up with tomorrow... it's already a thing that isn't going away and even if it did expect it to be replaced by something else...

do what I do... don't let it bother you... I don't think it's that hard to avoid anyways... I mean there a girl at work here named Samantha who hates to be called Samantha and only likes Sam... you know what I do? I call her sam... it's about the same issue...

I wonder how many people have actually encountered these issues in their daily life outside the internet... help other than people arguing about it on the net I can't say I really come across anyone here either that gives me a hard time about gender identification...

What values are you giving up? You mean your belief that there is either only a man or a woman? Well you don't have to... I don't know why you think you do... believe whatever you want to believe just as they can... personally I don't really get all of it myself so I just go about my day like nothing much has changed... if someone wants to call themselves whatever they want then who am I to bother em or why would I even want to waste the energy...

If someone told me they were a ninja I'd probably say hey that's great man and then move on... same with the T-Rex... I wouldn't look at it as any kind of assault on me...

As for the situation, it doesn't bother me but I respect what issues it can cause if it becomes wide spread. We already have enough egg shells out there why add another one when adding that other one adds no merit at all?

Your opinion is that it has no merit... it already is pretty widespread... even people like myself who have no interest in it are aware of it.. I'm not really sure what you think you can do to stop it either lol... like I said too... even if this wasn't a thing there's just be something else that eventually comes along... this one to me seems pretty easy to deal with in any case...

I mean when haven't human beings looked to find something to dufferentiate themselves from one another or different ways to cut eachother down for it...

Well, yes, but that's where it gets weird. Who did they want to be in the top two? The Communist? That's the only person that's left of the centrist they're protesting.

Yes, we have everyone wear a name tag that tells us their gender and the % chance they will freak out when I call them by the gender I Identify them as.

There are a few other problems with the whole gender fluidity thing, but you are right. I can't stop it nor will I actively try to stop it. I will just passively disagree with it and hope it goes away like the mullet went away.

It's their own fault. They put forth someone that was unelectable, and no amount of protesting will change that. I swear we've seen this somewhere before....

As for your whole name tags thing have you actually ever run into someone in your life that freaked out when you didn't address them by the gender they identify with? Have you ever really even met someone that has told you they identify as something other than male or female? Has this put a huge inconvenience on you in some way? I'm genuinely curious...

passively disagreeing is fine... I'm more in the I don't really care one way or the other boat myself...
