You're full of ***if you think any of us, yourself included, what anything else. I'm actually perfectly happy with my life. And I wonder why anyone else would actually not feel the same.
I made the choices in my life that puts me in this position. I made my own life, and I'm satisfied at how it turned out.
If you, for a second, feel like your life is horrible, then you need to realize that A) it's your own god damn fault, and B) it is up to you to change it, no one else.
There is no point in longing for a life that only comes in dreams, because you will never achieve it if you do. You can, however, make your dreams into a reality if you wish it.
Every single person on this planet capable of abstract thought has at least minute changes that could be classified as fantastical that we would nevertheless like to see effected. And there's no point in dwelling on it. Absolutely no point at all.
So why bother?
Nothing you did is your own work, instead your given everything because you were born white and that unearned privilege enabled everything good in your life to happen while simultaneously preventing everything bad from happening to you. And since your being selfish and not turning over all your ill-gotten gains to the nearest racially disadvantaged person, we the Righteous Peoples Progressive Government will confiscate your work and redistribute it to those ideologically pure people. Socialist Theory of everything.
Being real for a second, asking a neo-liberal / progressive to take responsibility for their life is like asking a pig to fly. Their entire religious ideology dictates removal of personal responsibility in favor of group responsibility. The benefit of such an ideology is that they can avoid all responsibility for their actions, nothing is every their own fault, it's always "somebody else's" fault. Outsourcing that responsibility is a huge amount of stress removed from their daily lives, and if things are going bad it acts as a conduit to channel their anger into social change. Of course "othering" responsibility means another entity has all the power and control and things can go very bad for our little socialists with absolutely no way for them to effect change.
It's an interesting study to get into the psychological reasons why someone would adhere to a ideological religion that requires them give up personal responsibility and economic freedom in exchange for social security. And yeah I've been through more hell and ***, with the resulting personal growth, then these adorably entitled middle class ***.

Is penis a choice?
By fonewear 2017-04-20 09:14:32
Depends on who the penis is oppressing...

According to a TED talk I watched last night. I'm part of the problem if I only I cared to fix it. We could live in this gender neutrality society...that I keep hearing about.

All I'm saying on the subject is some people are born luckier than others.
Some people are born into rich families. Some into crack houses.
Some people are born in Somalia and are going to die from malnourishment before they hit puberty. Some are born in America where even poor people can be fat as holy hell.
I wasn't trying to get P&R, I was actually speaking purely philosophically.

Normally when I use the women's restroom I get weird looks. But I just say it's okay. I identify as a strange man in your restroom. And everything is fine.

Not until I'm dead we can't.
That's not really optional. I can choose not to be a caveman about my biological reactions, but they're there nevertheless and they're pretty decidedly responsive to the ladies.

The main reason I use women's restroom is they don't normally pee on the damn seat !

...see, you're sort of proving right now you've never been in a women's restroom.
I've known janitors.
Stick with the men's room. 90% of the time at least it's only urine on the seat...

I'm really curious what "other" gender is like it is some sort of intergalactic species that lives in a tree ?
It stands for Otherkin, which is a ***you not, people who "identify as non-human".
https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/from-dragons-to-foxes-the-otherkin-community-believes-you-can-be-whatever-you-want-to-be
And we're supposed to tolerate them and not point out the apparent psychological issues.
"Identify with" is probably one of the most, if not the most, depowering statements one can make. It takes away the power of personal choice, with it's accompanying personal responsibility and personal growth and replaces it with "the universe decided for me and I have no control over the matter". I would take the wealthy entitled LGBTOWTFBBQZBCDEFG community more seriously if they would just empower themselves by taking personal responsibility for their choices.
"I chose lifestyle / gender / sexuality / whatever X because I want to and if someone don't agree they can *** off because it's a personal choice of mine" is a hugely empowering statement. Taking positive control over ones life is a positive step towards self improvement and personal growth.

I've considered my psychological issues but that sounds expensive...so I just ignore them.

I wasn't trying to get P&R, I was actually speaking purely philosophically. Luck may be a factor, but it isn't the defining factor.
And it can happen both ways.
Also, it's very possible for you to create your own luck.
Actually, luck plays little to no role in how one lives their lives. They use the concept of luck to remove responsibility from their own actions and define other people's livelihoods.

What you are saying is that personal choices don't matter and the universe decides our lives ahead of time. Attempting to hide that thought in a different framework doesn't change it.
I've known people born in crack houses doing very well right now, owning a business while simultaneously managing the finances for a dozen other business's. So tell me about how he should of just accepted his life was unfair and blamed all those wealthy, yet somehow always white and christian, *** for effecting the cosmos and putting him in that crack house as a baby, and not bust his *** off to build success.
Your thought does one incredibly harmful thing, it removes personal responsibility for ones life condition. Without personal responsibility there can BE NO personal growth. Without personal growth a personal will never improve themselves or their condition, any improvement that does happen will be 100% incidental to someone else. Essentially you are depowering everyone resulting in them giving up and never even attempting to achieving anything except what they were born with. It's a dangerous idea because it creates an entire underclass of people who might have dreams but no will to effect the change required to even begin on the path to see those dreams realized. Instead they stay in that shitty lifestyle and blame everything on everyone else.

It wouldn't be the first time someone suggested to be some kind of "disorder". I have of course joked about it (and gotten spanked) before but I tend to view it as a willingness to reject agency or a personal denial of agency. Some people just aren't comfortable with the idea that they have the power to change their own circumstances. For those people, they are ripe for any ideology that blames the ills of society on something else (the white majority in this case). The more nebulous the connection the better.
It's really stunning that we have an entire university sector dedicated to expanding and giving credence to this particular idea. The irony is that the very existence of such sector is a self reinforcing paradigm. Diving into the study requires massive amounts of debt which in turn kneecaps the particular individual in question after the process is complete. They hinder their ability to get ahead in society BECAUSE they embraced the ideology in the form of worthless university study.

I'm not removing responsibility for anything.
I don't give a homicidal maniac a pass because their brain is hardwired to kill everything in sight.
I don't give a pedophile a pass because they're naturally attracted to children.
I'm not saying people can't get out of situations.
All I'm saying is some people have it easier than others to begin with.
Denying that is sort of ignoring reality.
