an investigation into a Russian / Trump conspiracy to hack the election

I'm over it...

after the 33 "naked gun 33 1/3 the final insult" benghazi investigations if the democrats want to wear their arms off flogging a dead russian horse. I say let 'em.... we probably got it coming.

If there is an investigation into a Russian / Trump conspiracy to hack the election, which has resulted (intentionally or not) in leaks of transcripts of phone calls, how are such transcripts not obtained through some kind of surveillance?
If the police are watching a crack house, and happen to see me entering several times, they are not spying on me specifically.

So if the government was spying on the Russians, and Trump kept contacting them, it doesn't mean they were spying on Trump. Simple really.
Exactly. Rump had rented space in Rump Tower to a known Russian Mafiya gang boss who happened to be a former KGB agent (My, my. Ex-KGB, JUST LIKE PUTIN). Then you have Paul Manafort, who aided another ex-KGB agent ten years back and was also helping Rump. Then you have Michael Flynn, Sr., who was also working as an agent of a foreign power (Russia) while a member of Rump's team. Meanwhile, idiot Rump didn't do his due diligence and thoroughly background check the people working for him, either because he's really *** HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, or because he knew they were working for Putin and was alright with it.

Let me reemphasize this:

If you are going to condemn a person because s/he had relations with a foreign power, then there is nobody in the government you will accept.

Even your Chosen One™ had relations, both professional and private, with outside powers. Both allies, enemies, and perceived enemies. She even sold uranium to our perceived enemies.

So, before you attack somebody on a relationship with any Russia, remember, Clinton had even more extensive relationships with Russians than Trump has, both as a professional standpoint and a private one.

It's never going to stop.

We should just seize the oppertunity to push laws that require state ID to vote. because... you know... we wouldn't want the russians to hack us... again.

turnabout is fair play.

we need to stop whining and look for ways to work it in our favor.

The quantity of misinformation Trump is shoving down your throat is amazing. Clinton did not by herself do that, even if she voted against it still would have been sold, only Obama could veto it.

Actually, it's not 20% of the uranium you own, but Russia is gaining ownership of 20% of the uranium you produce. That Uranium also cannot be exported to Russia.
You are correct, I read more into that.

Point still stands, even if you point out one tiny thing like that.

Clinton had stronger relationships with Russia and it's government than Trump had. If people are going to condemn Trump and his people for perceived, limited (to business only, and generally speaking, not with the Russian government), and circumstantial relationships with Russia, how come they aren't at arms on Clinton's actual relationships with Russia?

Oh, right, she is the Chosen One™. You are only allowed to have fits against those who are not Chosen One™.

People who condemn Trump over this are blinded by partisanship, just like people who did the same thing during Clinton's email investigation because we have no other information than the FBI is investigating something. IF any wrongdoing is found, then they will take appropriate action.
Comey specifically stated wrongdoing on Clinton and her aides. He added 2 things: No reasonable prosecutor (that was installed by Obama) would prosecute Clinton and that they didn't "intend" to break the law (even though they did, and intent does not excuse lawbreaking).

But he did state that Clinton and her aides broke the law. He just didn't recommend charges (most likely was told so from higher up).

Don't give us that *** about taking appropriate action. The whole email case was sidestepped from the start. I mean, why else would the FBI destroy evidence? And don't say they didn't.

Yeah, but remember, Comey is above partisanship. After all, it is 100% impossible for a lawman or a judge to actually act on political impulses. It's not supposed to happen, therefore it doesn't happen.

To me this where conversations on the matter gets distorted due to partisanship. Objectively speaking there are a lot of "coincidental" connections with Russian interests and members of his campaign to not investigate.

If one comes to light the smoking gun will implicate his underlinings more so than him. It would require one them to roll over on him, like Dean did Nixon or Gravano did Gotti, to make something stick.

What's sad about even engaging in these conversations is this elementary school level "what-about-ism" regarding political figures who are currently irrelevant/not in a powerful position.

And this by itself is infinitely more evidence of obama colluding with the Russians to influence the 2012 election than anyone has on trump (which still today totals at zero).

hey look Joe McCarthy, I think your point would have merit if obama had declared war with russia.... but hillary pushed the "overcharged" button and we're free to capatilistically take advantage of the proletariat and all that jazz... so lighten up.

it's not a crime to know somebody who is russian... any more. or yet.
