Going to get a bit nit-picky here.
But please admit that you are, indeed, supporting one no mater how begrudgingly.
P.S. spell checkers are your friend.
But apparently they're not your friend.
Both mater and matter pass the spell checker. As I still haven't learned to spell well I rely, perhaps too heavily, on the spell checker.
... Remember, you are calling
a quarter of the nation that....
US population = 324,692,000 (this afternoon)
Eligible voters = 225,778,000 (projected for this election)
Total number of Americans eligible to vote 218,959,000 (alternate data set)
Total number of Americans registered to vote 146,311,000 (same alternate data set)
35% of registered voters identify with the Democratic Party, 28% with the Republican Party and 33% as independents. (2012 figures)
All registered voters = 45% of the population. All registered republicans = 12.6 of the population.
Given that not all republicans support the Donald, and some independents and non voters do, at BEST I am calling 8% of the population that. That's a LONG way from your "quarter of the nation."
