Just as a public warning, directed at anyone abusing the report feature; if you repeatedly report posts for 'excessive hostility' on posts that aren't hostile I'm going to start removing reporting privs. The report button isn't a button to summon your own personal mod army, it's more of a "you might want to look at this" button.
Excessive hostility is for targeted, hostile, and flamebait posts, excessive profanity is for someone spewing racial and homophobic slurs or profanity in pics.

I mean, if you want to ignore me specifically pointing out the American Government throwing a *** ton of Japanese-Americans into internment camps, repossessing all of their property, liquidating the physical assets, and then selling off what eventually became some of the most expensive property in the entire country for relatively cheap prices...
You are trying to connect that with poor European immigrants that came here about 200 years before that supposedly happened. Which is wrong.
Oh, and implying we've paid proper reparations for nearly wiping them off the face of the planet if hi-***-larious. "Here, have a miniscule amount of land we stole from you while ruthlessly slaughtering your entire race! Oh, and some money, that at one point meant nothing to you or your peoples way of life so you can sorta function under our rule!" They get to fleece white folk at their casinos now. Get over it.
The past isn't irrelevant, it's literally what shaped out government and culture and way of life into what it is today. And sweeping the bad ***under the rug doesn't help or fix anything. Neither does saying things like this.
Quote: "Here, have a minuscule amount of land we stole from you while ruthlessly slaughtering your entire race!"
For one, it wasn't stolen it was taken/conquered.
For two, nothing is going to change it or make it better.
Why dwell? Unless you have a time machine...

For one, it wasn't stolen it was taken/conquered. Well ***, that mugger should simply take or conquer your wallet, rather than stealing it.
That makes everything better.
"Your honor, I did not steal the defendant's wallet. I merely conquered him and took it."

You're right. It's just to bad that the Indians didn't have anyone to save them from their conquerors. I guess not everyone is as lucky as the Danish.

http://www.themonitor.com/news/local/bp-council-says-catch-and-release-policy-continues-fueling-illegal/article_b48caa0c-f92c-11e5-914a-671ec164babb.htmlQuote: “Why would we NTA [issue a Notice to Appear to] those we have no intention of deporting?” said Mayorkas, according to the letter. “We should not place someone in deportation proceedings, when the courts already have a 3-6 year backlog.” Quote: Chris Cabrera, local Border Patrol council president, said there are no consequences for people coming over illegally and the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent trying to divert illegal immigration are pointless without enforcement. Quote: In fiscal year 2015, about 331,000 illegal crossers were apprehended on the Southwest border, which includes the Rio Grande Valley sector, down from nearly 480,000 the previous fiscal year. More than two-thirds of people apprehended in the RGV sector are from Central America, according to BP statistics.
Cabrera said the recent drop in apprehensions is not a result of this money being spent in Central America but a consequence of agents being forced to “babysit” large groups of illegal crossers and leaving large parts of the border uncovered.
“People are getting away,” Cabrera said, “It’s just that no one wants to admit that people are getting away.”
“What they are doing is like a backdoor amnesty or an amnesty through policy,” he added. “They can’t get everybody in the right way so they are just going to release everybody on their own recognizance pending a court date that hasn’t been set, knowing that over 85 percent of the people don’t show up for the court date.” But to get more of the undocumented through the deportation process we would need more judges, balifs, court reportere, and more ICE agents. All these things cost money.
Money that the Republicans in congress refuse to spend. Because "No new taxes."

Raenil, there are a few things you need to know.
1, Hawaii never interned any of their Japanese population. That was done on the west coast where running the orientals out of town and seizing their property had been a sport not 30 years before Pearl Harbor.
2, Arguing with Alti is a bit like pissing into the wind.
3, Fone occasionally makes serious posts. Mostly not though. Don't respond to the weird off the wall posts unless you can extend or comment on the joke.

We find the money to support these illegal immigrants without new taxes. Not even mentioning they are illegal.. No need for all of that stuff, ship them out asap.

Ah, gotcha. Could've sworn I'd read Hawaii reacted harshly as well, but I'm glad to be corrected on that one.
I'm aware trying to discuss anything with Alti is pointless and only leads to headaches. Or I've been reminded, anyway. Not posting here for a month or so at a time can cause lapses, I guess.
I've been blissfully unaware of any post Fone has made for nearly a year at this point.

In a court of law you would call it manifest destiny.

And wow it goes around the world. I was seeing some news flash about it in the TV like 10 minutes ago...

And remember that the Panama Papers are from just ONE law firm, in just ONE tax haven.

And remember that the Panama Papers are from just ONE law firm, in just ONE tax haven. Actually, all the articles associated with this story has yet to state what law was broken or what action was deemed "tax evasion."
International law dictates that people can hold offshore brokerage accounts. What these "papers" did was release financial information from companies owned by foreign nationals (to the country which these companies are founded). They did not show any actual money laundering activity or any questionable activity at all.
Long-story short: Sensational story meant to radicalize the uneducated masses. Until there are specific cases that these "papers" release showing any money-laundering schemes, all this is is an illegal release of personal and private information. It's paramount to somebody hacking into a computer and releasing your name, address, social security number, bank account info, and credit history. What's worse is that people are applauding said behavior.

As far as actual law breaking, people realize that nothing illegal was done here. Could it be used as a stepping stone for future laws? Sure. Did any of these people actually break any laws? Highly unlikely. I'm no expert on international law, especially concerning how many Countries are involved with this.

To elaborate: Tax evasion as in reporting or not paying taxes in the country where the company in question resides.
If the country in question does not have income tax, then there is no tax evasion.

Could it be used as a stepping stone for future laws? Sure. Actually, any law that could occur would break multiple trade agreements.
These "papers" may show some questionable activity, but it would require investigation beyond the scope of any one firm to do. I.E. review of bank transfers to see where the money originated from and why.

My english vocabulary when it comes to law and economics is a bit limited so I apologize if I use the wrong ones; but this is about undeclared income I think. These are basically hidden possessions.

Can't be undeclared income. For one, international law is very strict about foreign income reporting, firms who deal with foreign income are under one of the highest regulated industries in the world (which is also why they charge out the *** for management fees).
All income from this firm has to be declared. Otherwise, they wouldn't be associated with these foreign companies.
Undeclared income is generally income made "off the books" so to say. Best example is exchanging money outright for services without reporting it to the proper authorities. Good luck finding a paper trail on those.
No, all this income is declared, otherwise it wouldn't be coming from a firm.

Ok then, what international law was broken by holding brokerage accounts or other assets (mainly, money) in offshore accounts?
