I'm not saying my opinion is the end all be all, so don't get what I said twisted. I'm entitled to my opinion and I'm expressing it. Yeah it's cheap but still wasted money after November for nothing new. I mean seriously what's left after November? Not sure about you, but even as a vet player of FFXI I wouldn't waste money I might need irl on a finished game. I love FFXI, but I'm also a money conserver (aka one who saves/uses his money wisely), and don't live with nostalgia glasses on and don't have an ocd need to complete everything in game after November when it will no longer be relevant.

Not twisting you keep stating that its a fact its a waste of money. I am just saying it may be a waste of money to you but not to X individual. I mean I also believe that people who ran 50 mules were crazy but I never told them what they should or should not do with their money or how they choose to play or find the game entertaining. I could admit (on here, never in person) I was more addicted than most, really kinda disgusted when I look back. (I would NEVER admit to playing ANY MMO, let alone a shitty one for as long as I did if anyone knew who I was).

But with that march announcement, just trying to help facilitate the transition for more people. It's extremely satisfying to delete FFXI from your computer. It's even more satisfying to see that email letting you know your payment is due, but you give zero *** about paying it.

Don't talk as if you know me or my motives. I still play the game, you can look at my profile and see my ah price listings. I do enjoy it but not as much as I used it. If I didn't enjoy it at all, I wouldn't still be playing it. (Making this my last year playing anyway lol. :P)

Also, I'm not a doom/gloom about ffxi ending so get over it poster. I love FFXI, I just don't live in denial and can see whats wrong with the game. There's actually a difference if you're smart enough to see it.

Wouldn't explain all his salt. It was an ifritite too, and sold at going rate. With 19 sold per day, can't imagine it stayed up 2 days after he stopped playing(assuming listing it was one of the last things he did before inactive). He obviously didn't quit playing when he got his mjollnir, as that was listed days after and his mjollnir is 80. He also scanned tamaxchi on the 27th.

Can't prove he was banned based off of that, but it's certainly something to think about.

Regardless if he was banned or not, the dude needs help. He says he quit FFXI and feels super good about it, yet he is on this forum 24/7 and now on BG. You really beat that addiction...

Hades is originally an Elvaan scholar who was searching for immortality and discovered the realm of Tartarus. It appears that Tartarus allows one to stay immortal in some form. I don't think it was ever explained exactly how. Hades is pretty much obsessed with breaking the circle of life and aims to merge or connect Vana'diel and Tartarus (or something like that). Iirc, he is hundreds of years old. August appears to be still alive as well. I think we can safely assume that he went on to Tartarus after his first battle against Hades (similar to how Lilisette went on to the alternative post-Crystal War reality).

I think it was never explained how Ra'Kaznar was built, but it has a gateway to Tartarus in its center and somehow, probably due to being under the influence of Tartarus, when someone dies in that place, the soul is trapped inside its walls, but that also means that it can be returned to the body (see: Morimar's resurrection). The place also served as a prison for the Naakuals until they were freed by August. They are actually sentient monsters (most likely originated from Tartarus) who denied serving Hades and pledged loyalty to August once they were freed by him and were ordered to keep the colonists away from the depths of the wilderness and Ra'Kaznar.

Either people have some really low paying jobs where they think 9 dollars or 13 is a lotta money or they have so much hatred for SE where they trying to convince people not to pay the measly 13 bucks a month to play a game they still enjoy.

Actually, part of the reason may be because the system isn't setup for it without a transaction.

Same reason why Fantasia were limited at first, the system was unable to process multiple time the same amount of Fantasia sold. I don't know if it's actually the same issue with FFXI's server transfer, but chances are that it is. They're that good.

As it is, the system doesn't even work pefectly, some transfer will need a GM to manually do it. It's far from "perfect" despite its years of service.
