And the internet/ffxiah isn't a place where you can just go anywhere and do/say anything. It's the reason we have "threads." So we can have specific subject matter instead of all this trolling and derailing.

Though, the mods here don't seem to care much about actual policies, so...uh...I guess carry on.

I speak up for this game as well. let the negative people be negative and we do what we enjoy.

What part of the Internet rule book did you quote this from? I'd like to know? Also of course forums have rules, but people are still allowed to post/say anything, at least til the mods get off their a$$es and says otherwise or they can just lock the thread lol.

But then someone else will make a new topic and people will find ways to troll/derail those threads, and most mods will just look and say "nah not getting involved" or the classic "lets see how this progresses, "if" it gets out of hand, then we'll step in". But FFXIAH is that kind of forum that unless it seriously becomes a major problem or the flame wars get to intense that's when the higher ups will step in, but otherwise, if it ain't serious then it's not a problem and just carry on.

So your sentence has no real basis. Plus, it's still the INTERNET where opinions are thrown around and most feel safe since they are anonymous to others unless they run into someone they know irl online and things get our of hand lol. But otherwise, since it's the Internet, we can go anywhere on the net we please, unless it's blocked off or your website block add-on activates and you forgot to deactivate it lol.

People can post whatever they like, but it is sad that a thread about new content is congested with input from people that don't play, or have a negative outlook on the game. When/if I unsub, you won't find me on the forums. Why would I waste my time? Why participate in a community I am no longer apart of? Checking the forums to stay current with the game is one thing, making negative posts on new content threads is another... your opinion isn't wanted here.

IMO,If you don't play FFXI, you don't belong here, period. You unsubbed from the game, now unsub from the forums. Doing one and not the other makes absolutely no sense.

probably not the smartest thing to say when the person who implements new update items into FFXIAH and the person who still fixes GearSwap are both unsubbed

It's okay to still want to be involved in or even help the community if you're unsubbed from the game, but I think when your intent is to fill it with negativity, your being here isn't warranted.

I'm well aware of the people that update things, and who handles gearswap. The player base of unsubbed people that are helpful, and that are negative nancy's......Do I really need to explain this?

My point is pretty obvious. It's no slippery slope to understand my point. I'm not going to go on and on. There are people that pay to play this game, that actually want to talk about the new update.

Actually, some people unsubbed, but frequent the forums to see what has changed on a monthly basis. Some want to hear reliable player testimonials of new content to see if it's worth their time to return. Saying people who unsubbed and don't play anymore don't belong here is just a stupid thing to say. We are not all the same.

I understood what you meant :) The point of my post was to make it clearer to others in reference to ones that have quit but still contribute.

Well people who are wondering if it is worth coming back or not should know that there is a free login event(Return Home Campaign or w.e) from the 15th to the 25th. So they can find out for themselves. Which is always better than to decide on other peoples opinions and as of right now with Escha, interpretations.

All the people getting salty over non subbers posting their 2 cents you all sound like pepe "NORMIES GET OUT 11 IS OURS NORMIES GET OUT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

I know people have been hoping for new Dynamis zones (or hard versions since adding the Arch bosses but with iLevel gear even those can be soloed by most jobs)

But with them officially saying they WILL NOT be opening blocked off areas (Kahzam ah area,the caves to nowhere in Kon & Battlia downs and so on) and also not going to bother with opening other zones that are always talked about but never mentioned (far east, far south, far north, and the areas only open in Shadowregin & Abyssea) And what do we get? another Abyssea like zone only no time restrictions, a black & white TV remake of a zone we already have :| sorry but unless the final ending for this is on par with CoP it seems to not be worth it, shaping up to be Abyssea if it was an expansion rather than add-ons.

And some still play non subbed in private servers and those who manage them want to look if there might be any updates worth adding since there's a few that have 99 cap & seekers content. (No I don't play on PS but i'd like to.)

Some also roleplay and like to tune in to updates and commentary to see if they can update their character's story or not.

They just want this classic MMO to end so they can shift it all aside for the mobile game.

And what help Draylo? sure I'm grateful for it (though this was waaaaay back with when drg was my main hell the first AF I iLeveled was the pants plus bettering drk too was helpful.), till this stupid drama with Thornyy & his bots and not being welcome for any new gear because I didn't have the "right jobs" leveled (cause I have no interest in bard, cor and lacked the 119 relics needed like the Ghorn, & pink harp cause I don't care for those jobs) and then...hmm when you removed me off your friendlist and blocked me? in game yeah. (this was long before your ban and return then server change mind you)

Why even waste your breath getting angry over people who have a different opinion then yours? No ones stopping you from still enjoying the game and its content. But some are a little annoyed with this whole "rose colored glasses" thing and acting as if this game is still as great as it was in like...idk 2006~2009? meh...if you like this game fine, go get what you can out of it but don't force people to still have to play because "OMG BEST GAME EVAR" And the people wishing death on you are idiots and you should report them, people who wish death on anyone are not good people or people you should not even waste time listening to, its just a game for crying out loud.

Despite all the saltiness in this thread, nobody is changing anybody else's opinion.

Those of us who stay logged in until they pull the plug on maintenance, and who'll probably stay logged in until they turn the final server off, will continue doing so, regardless of what the ones who left, and want the others to join them in leaving, say.

Also, the ones who left and don't want to come back, and take every business decision SE makes as if it were a personal attack on them, won't also be dissuaded from leaving/not returning.

At the end of the day, I still play this game, and will keep paying as long as the servers are running, because it's what I like to do.
Some people go watch movies, some people smoke weed, some people watch reality television.
This is what I do. I've played this game for over 1/3rd of my life, and I enjoy it. I take it as it is. Whether good or bad, whether boring or exciting, whether challenging or grinding, whether new content or none, whether other people are playing or not.
Thinking about this last addition of content, I don't take it as "crap, there comes the end". I take it instead as "hey, new stuff to do in this game that I'd be still playing anyway".

So, whatever new content comes, whether it's Dynamis rehash, or another abyssea, or something new and unexpected.
Whether the augments are random or cumulative, bring it on. I don't care what it is. I plan on playing till they pull the plug anyway.

I love Zi'tah and all but the gray scale look is so bland. We have enough Abyssea, so I don't think an Abyssea 2.0 is relatively needed in the game as is. OMG, I don't know why but I'm getting flashbacks of that Cait Sith minigame mission from WoTG when if you fail a minigame you have to leave the zone and come back...omg *cringes*.

For the love of all that is holy please do not be a abyssea time cycle rehash. :/ But hey we'll know very soon but I meh on the grotesque grayscale design work...very lazy.

I like how it looks /shrug .... Anything is better then vagary. Hopefully its pug/job friendly like VW was, like it or not thats what the game needs at this point.

When I think of Vagary, it makes me think of the Fumors running at you like bloodthirsty shoppers on Black Friday lol.

I just wish they would at least give us the ruins of Tavnazia for the last expansion. Been wanting to go there since the game begin, now it looks like we never will.

I'd love to see homebrew expansions once SE ends support.

Personally I didnt like abyssea, those who did good for you, I'm jealous, but I couldnt get into it for my playstyle it was to fast paced and I was (and still am) behind to alot of people (which then again is great cause I still have so much content to do) So no...it sounds a bit like they put abyssea mechanics in there, so not excited for that.
Then well yeah grey is grey right? Doesnt appeal to me either.
Rehashed zones >.> not again.
And last, They promised us an epic story finale, This update note (which yes its a note, I'm still waiting for SE to dazzle me, I'm really hoping for it) just doesnt make me feel wow.... I'm just mentally preparing to be awfully disappointed I guess.

doent sound liek anything abyssea at all sounds more like Delve 3.0 in reworked old zones.

The big issue with people who don't play anymore are the ones who are total downers. Especially the ones who continuously say the same things over and over.

That definitely sounds plausible, and is somewhat interesting. Thank the lord that this is Escha - Zi'Tah and not Yuhtunga. We'd never manage to hit the center.
