Beside the fact that it's a near-optimal model for an MMO (which is, you know, a business) given it's 6-10M subs at any given time, depending on proximity to an xpac?

First, I think it's easier to just block Katsuras.

It's funny because the selling of platinum bands is OLDE news.

SE even made an cautionary announcement instructing players to refrain from doing so. If it kept up, they would change it.



The number of non 30-day trial "subscriptions" (different from active users) doubled in the last 4 months. It was at 2 million in the fall, and hit 4 million this February. That means 2 million full versions of the game were purchased.
