How about the attribution of overt racism to the birther movement?

Because guess what, I don't like Obama. That doesn't make me a racist.
Mmmm... I guess Birthers weren't racist. Just doing their due diligence.
Birther's can only dislike Obama because... racism.

Well, you just accused of birthers of doing nothing more than overt racism, based on your misconception of anyone against Obama must be racist....
wat

Some were, but it would be more correct to say they were delusional and needed a publicly acceptable reason to hate Obama. Not unlike the people who claim he's Muslim or a radical liberal or anti-american. They're not NECESSARILY racist, some are just morons.

The idea that she won before she was already elected gives me hope. Hopefully, she will have an epic failure that will prevent her from being President.

Granted the Republican candidates leave a lot to be desired by they have to have someone more likeable than Hillary...

Given the choice between Satan and Hillary it would be a tough call as who is more likeable !

You're not accounting for the amount of epic failures that can occur in a primary field that includes Ted Cruz and Rand Paul, and will likely include such luminaries as Jeb Bush, Bobby Jindal, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, and Ben Carson. Can Hillary outflub this rogues gallery? I doubt it.
Good, when Scott Walker trounces all of them, he will have no trouble with Hillary.

Man, I look forward to the day that (Ted Cruz OR Rand Paul win the presidency...) On that day I look forward to my 'i told you so' posts here on this forum.. and more importantly that steak dinner promised from my Political Science professor.

A lot, as a matter of fact, twice. Obviously, at least half of the voters in the US (and by extension over half of the public) felt he was the lesser of two evils. That sure doesn't say much about the alternatives.

Hard to believe that run-of-the-mill stupidity could account for the ridiculousness of Birthers. Despite bold-faced evidence to the contrary, they clung (or cling, I'm sure they're still around lol) to the belief that he was from Africa. Meanwhile, McCain (and now Cruz) didn't face any kind of scrutiny despite having similar histories. It's difficult to rationalize another conclusion.

Eh, I'd wager many are just so anti-democrat that they'll accept any reason to dismiss one.

That's exactly what America needs... a combination of George W. Bush's neocon mentality + Obama's inapt attitude towards the economy.

no republican canidate will be better simply put we will be getting Bush years back minus the surplus so really if a R takes office it will be Bush on Top of Bush

also Hillary has Bill and thats HUGE assest alot ppl love clinton and will vote simply to get him back in WH anyway they can get it.

that + feminist voters + die hard Dems i dont see how hillary can lose

now if we had a Hillary and Warren combo or hillary and sanders combo that would be sweet deal imo, as i dont see either one of those running by themself..... but hey anythings possible

That's actually incorrect. The school he attended in Indonesia is not a Muslim school, it's a public school. It's still there, even. And, no, he didn't register as a Muslim or pray with them. Some blogger filled in all kinds of their own *** on that one. And it's been bounced around the "conservative" echo chamber.

Plenty of US presidents have been enrolled in classes abroad, mostly in college, but not all. Obama is the first one that wasn't an affluent white kid attending a prestigious school in England or France.

They tend to be the same people that fixate on a black president attending a public school in Indonesia with a predominant Muslim student body while ignoring that they also attended a Catholic school in the same predominantly Muslim country. Or that his biological father, mother and step father are atheists.

It's fascinating, to me, that despite the millions spent on campaign management and message formulating focus groups, the strongest political "hooks" I experience, in my daily life, are from hearing and reading opinions I disagree with on this message board.

Its so easy to discover what "you're against" in the absence of what "you're in favor of." I can't help but wonder if politicians themselves fall victim to this from time to time, hence the lack of concrete examples given in campaign speeches.

Its official!

Hillary is in the clown car!

But she is going to need a LOT of greasepaint to be near as clownish as the republican inhabitants.

I think she matches them in the smoke and mirrors department.

What about him? He's been dead a long time. Can't even extrapolate on what he expounded upon without making people uncomfortable due to the racial climate of that era. He was less of a influence with his politics and more of reminder that even though Obama was bi-racial he will always be viewed as black regardless of how he sees himself.

As for feminists, they're too busy contradicting themselves to do anything else.
Only reasons why the RePUKES won 2014 were due to their gerrymandering the districts to suit better the odds in their favor, and enacting voter id laws in certain states.
Now, if they had tried to win, and wound up as a majority rule, managing it under fair, even circumstances between both parties, it'd be a different story.
The data says otherwise.

Lowest voter turnout since 1942.

Lowest voter turnout since 1942.

And nearly half of the population having virtually no say in their elected officials couldn't also be contributory? Not much reason to go vote when someone is running unopposed or districts are gerrymandered so badly that incumbents are almost impossible to unseat.

Only if you consider having 3 new states with voter ID laws for the 2014 election as the connection.

Rhode Island, Maryland, and Arkansas. With North Carlina pending until 2016.
