Lots of people died when Clinton lied, has nothing to do with *** either.

Like I said.

"Genocide opportunist" is not a pretty label.

But when I have to weigh that vs. what is best -- or, least, what I think seems best -- for the majority of people in the country?

Ugh.

I *** hate that Hillary is the leading left candidate. I really want a better candidate overall. If there were a fiscally conservative candidate who wanted to keep our current systems in place, but have them administered in a more conservative fashion? I'd be all for that.

Keeping disability and social security, but tightening restrictions on who qualifies? I'm in!

Keeping food stamps and welfare programs funded, but capping numbers and incentivizing doing real work? I'm in!

Cutting federal programs and discouraging states from funding these programs? Not...on board as much.

There needs to be a balance.

This is why I like Walker's policy towards unions, optional, not mandatory. If you like them fine, then you can pay and join, etc. If you don't want to join, then you shouldn't be forced.

Fine, but don't take away the ability to automatically withdraw dues from pay, and don't let people who refuse to belong be included under contracts...see how quickly they come hounding to join when their pay rate bottoms out, their PTO floors, and they find they're paying half of their paycheck into their insurance because their employer is a greedy scumbag...
I believe, at least in WI, they take away somewhere around $500-$600 a year for administrative fees.

The bold is just speculation with nothing to back it up except your pro union stance, but let it be. If they come crawling back or if they like it better let it stand.

I pay even less, and without disclosing too much about what I do or my payscale, $600 a year is a minuscule price to pay to keep my benefits and hourly wages. Retaining a lawyer for my private affairs would cost more.

oooh Ramyrez does some top secret G6 stuff apparently

No, but I do work in a public health capacity (as I've admittedly before on this forum), and I don't like to say much more than that. It's really nothing special. I wish it were.

Sorry. If anything staying quieter on the topic makes it seem more awesome than it is.

You act like that is not what will happen if Ted Cruz or Rand Paul actually get elected.

I trust them both that they want to repeal, but it will not happen. They will end up meeting in the middle and instead of repealing stuff, it will be reforms. For medicare/medicaid, food stamps, just raise the requirements and lower the output.

For Social Security that ***needs to be utterly and completely removed with a grandfather clause.. Like say anyone born 1975 or earlier? is eligible to receive it. If born later, no Social Security for you. Most people my generation expect it to be bankrupt anyway, so what is the difference?

I wouldn't say ambiguity makes it sound cool. It makes it sound like your employer wouldn't appreciate you talking about it on a public video game forum, which I think most employers would be in agreement on.

I had NDA's and morals clauses for the first several years after college. My friends would ask what I did, I could only tell them I was involved in testing pre-production cars. Which sounds like I'm out there spinning doughnuts in the latest sports car, but it was mostly taking temperature and noise readings and sitting there listening to engineers talk about heat soak and metal fatigue.

I can't complain, it was a fun job, but it sounded a lot cooler than it was.

Then, 6 months after you graduate, you're begging to go back to the days when the hardest thing you had to do was study for a final in your busy drinking schedule.

I never understood people who took notes all the time.

Sure once in awhile it was important to write something down, or if there was a problem you were stuck on, write down how to solve those kinds of problems. But every class writing down everything?!

Why? Made no sense.

Depends on the class, only class i have ever(so far) really took complete notes for is my intro to philosophy class. Any professor who provides study guides for there exams means you don't need notes, at least that is how i work.

I just recorded the class with a dictaphone. It was surprisingly handy to have when disputing something on a test.

...which is why in the end I won't go full Chicken Little even if an uber-conservative guy gets elected.

We got through eight years of Bush II without falling apart. We can handle whatever else too; it just might not be fun.

As for Social Security, you can blame that one squarely on Mr. Reagan. The government should have never, ever, *** ever been allowed to take money from Social Security for other things.

It set the stage for every other problem with Social Security that has come up since.

One of things I heard was, I took all these notes, wrote down everything the professor said, I don't understand why I failed?

Maybe because you spent the whole time trying to write down everything when it's in the book.

Read the lesson before class, go to class, listen what they say, and if something sounds interesting or worthy of noting write it down.

"This isn't in the book, you might want to write it down." Listen, then write it down.

I saw a few people do this, eh...

I'm like a sponge when it comes to learning. I just soak it up, then try to apply it somehow. Testing comes much later.

Most of my notes from college were doodles.

Sometimes the doodles would remind me of something important the professor said while I drawing them, lol.
