Mainly tested it on E basement boss, and primal rend is light-based meaning not much in the game can resist it. Only WS I can see performing better is Blitz from sortie.

In Dynamis on bst, I'm usually with a full alliance. I usually bring arthur and melee.

I usually parse it too. I have a fantastic pet MAB set. I usually hit corrosive ooze on the whole crowd right after pld tank spawns a statue or 3. (I also swap to pet pdt set until pld or other take enough hate off my pet).

I find that in wave 1, Arthur generally does as much total damage as I do. which surprises the competitive dd types on the parse because It puts me in 1st or 2nd when I actually add my totals. Pet damage drops off significantly on wave 2, even though it still keeps me in high standing for a dd in the alliance.

However, it is a bit more cumbersome starting fights this way and keeping pet alive if you don't cycle your pet pdt set on for first 20s of each pull.

As far as Aymur and Primal Rend goes, the damage is fantastic but the biggest hit to it is actually the double darkness weather that is permanently in dynamis. IIRC its also always there in Odyssey and Sortie. A sch keeping aurorastorm II on your is a HUGE boon.
If I actually had storm spell, wizards and sam roll, and just use either Zhivago or Bredo as a pet, I'm going to be slamming around 60k primal rend without any geo buffs.
Which means I want to be in a party w/ leaden corsairs, Trueflight Rng, Seraph Blade RDM's for dd's and It fits in quite perfectly for buffs.

I bring arther mainly for the party-wide benefits. attack -33% and def -33% is wonderful alliance support. the AoE damage is just gravy. I think In wave 1 I usually do 11k AoE damage, and in wave 2 its 6k~8k. thats just because higher levels. I also burst 40k on a commander mob the other day which was fun w/ no pet buffs or mdb down at all.

Other pets can be wonderfully fun in dynamis as well. Roland's Jettatura is remarkably effective with double dark weather, making freezing ninjas or other mass aoe damage type mobs completely helpless for plenty of time to rip them apart before they go boom.

Nihility Song is also an underused gem when it comes to claiming large, spread out groups. like 3~4 statues all spread out... you REALLY need your pet pdt set for something like that though.

As far as building tp for the pet, its rather useless. just use the abilities whenever you need them.

ALL ready moves execute at 1000 tp no matter the actual tp of the pet. All warrior type pets (the vast majority of pets are warriors) have fencer trait which means they automatically have over 1500 tp for EVERY ready move.
Nukumi Manoplas +3 add 700 to this so you can always do at least 1700~2200 tp for EVERY ready move. With Aymur this goes up another 500 (yes, only 500 guaranteed, the other 500 is a bit nerfed) so 2200~2700 tp with 2 pieces of equipment all the time.

at most if pet has 800 tp on the meter, then it will always be 3k tp if using both Aymur and Nukumi hands +3. TP bonus equipment covers all the building tp needs for ready moves. and you get charges in 10s. Thats not nearly enough time to build up tp on pet. so its really not worth fussing over beyond having the gear in your ready gear set.

I was reviewing my bst gear sets. Had a few tweaks here and there to adjust.

and I was a little setback to see that pet attack pieces for physical ready moves are still augmented Valorous, emicho and even some Taeon gear still ;.;.

There is plenty of accuracy, ranged accuracy(lol) and magic accuracy, but our pets are so attack starved.

moreso the best attack bonus for pet you can get on many of those pieces is +30 attack... which frankly is REALLY weak for today's game.

The only exception ofcourse is Nyame gear.. but its a really hard sell to take path D.

which I guess I just short for me saying, I'm really looking forward to relic/artifact +4 gear. Mainly I hope it fills out and upgrades some pet pieces.

The sch keeping up aurorastorm is pure genius, i've never even considered the idea.

When you say you swap to pet pdt gear, im assuming all slots but weapon, or at that point you don't even care about losing tp?
Arthur is extremely squishy against phys. dmg, and pulls in dynaD these days count 3-4 statues (hi there Xicu, thanks for the nightmares), so im surprised the slug even survives lol.

Personally, i stopped using naegling when exping. (finally!)
But i also stopped skillchaining with the pet.
On worms in KRT i used to go with sefina and do light with sb.
For a worm to die i would need a final sb after light.
Now i summon edwin, pop KI and go to town with cloudsplitter > ruinator > decimation > primal rend.
I use multihit build + farsha and same trust but arciela.
Im assuming the author of the video uses arciela instead of koh to avoid the very annoying firaga? Unless arciela catst dia? i dont remember.
On bats, pretty much the same, most times i have to add cloudsplitter at the end, but this is because i dont use arthur's ooze, he just sits there watching.
If there weren't other bats in the area, i'd definitely use ooze and i assume i'd go back to finishing the mob @ primal rend again.

I just fight Lotus Bats. If ooze hits them, ooze hits them. They die fast enough.

Arthurs's Monster Correlation, native -DT, and atk down debuffs are enough to hold several imo. While ooze does no damage to adds, the effect still lands. You can also use P. ooze to lower their attack further and their max HP.

I just spam Bora Axe -> Calamity continuously and they go down quick. Just be well stocked on Thetas.

You can also do Beetles with Crude Raphie. Killer Instinct will give you a damage buff (Lizards > Vermin), and he does a single target defense down (although it is only 25%)

The defensive buff is a bit insane too, I had about 3400 defense with Shell V.

I'm usually BST/DRG for the WS Bonus and use a fencer set with Pangu Path B.

I have a mule do ghetto Marches. The rest are just trusts.

Usually I just tank instead of using Snarl or a trust.
ItemSet 399705

The Pangu was a gift and is pretty nice. The Simulator/Calculator was favoring malignance/heavy store tp with Path B. It's basically an Aymur AM3 set.

Not sure if I'd actually buy one, because some crafters are trying to charge 120M for them on my server lmao. Truthfully the SU4 will work just as good for Exemplar Points. The only one judging you are the monsters, and you can hack their f*cking faces in if they have a problem.

How does Bora axe perform compared to Ruinator?
Cause sometimes i go Calamity > Ruinator rinse and repeat.
But i use a non-augmented Tri-Edge, so maybe bora > calamity performs better with farsha?
I have absolutely no intention (nor money) to get a Pangu if not for pet dt lol

Bora Axe feels more consistent to me. You can just stack WSDMG gear with it. Believe it's a fixed 4.5 -FTP. The DEX mod is a bit gross though. It seemed to outperform the other options with my current sets.

Seems to do about 21-25k.

Maybe if I rank up my Gleti's I can get better ruinator numbers?

Also missing an offhand kinda decreases my Ruinator/Decimation damage a little bit.

I was trying Fencer with other axes, but it just felt kinda slow to me. I'm really a fan of the multi hit weapons, almost feels like I'm playing Warrior with a pet or something.

Aymur is on my to do list, but I really want to grab Scythe/Gun/Xbow First.

Edit: I fixed my Bora Axe set, it was just using a generic WS set with Moonshade. Onslaught set should work fine with it.

I was missing a Thrud Earring.
Also Sroda Ring's -DEX was hurting it a bit. Looks like Epa comes out ahead.

All Jobs Sim says it should now average about 27k.

Yeah, I have my weapon locked.
Arthur is not super squishy to physical damage, but there is plenty of mobs in dynamis so yeah, he goes down if you don't have high pet pdt set on and all the mobs come for him.

but w/ so many dd's buffed, the mobs go down quickly also. like 6 are dead by the time I release my pdt set.

Now, i think shield is wasted this way, but Onslaught > Ruinator > Onslaught it's enough to kill a worm.
Same trusts, 30k onslaught > 20k-ish ruinator > 40k darkness > 30k onslaught = 88k darkness, dead.

To be honest, last time i tried onslaught was years ago, wasn't expecting this.
Need to try it with /nin

I'm testing all the axes I've got haha.

Edit: trying on bats, same as above, dead with just onslaught > ruinator > onslaught

while reviewing my gearsets I was looking at my very rarely used master idle but pet engaged set. You might fool yourself into thinking this should be a pet tp set, but my recent rant should remind you why it is not.

Pet: store tp gear being not very useful, what is useful is pet haste, accuracy and double attack, and attack. gotta maximize that white damage!

I came up w/ this:

ItemSet 399714

which has 69% pet double attack for me. My nukumi +2 earring only has 8% DA instead of max 10.

but if you really wanted to max out the DA instead of the other good stuff, you can get to 82% pet DA. which will cap to 100% DA for any warrior pet, and maintain 25% haste for pet from gear.
I'm not sure if thats the cap for pet gear haste, but I think it is.

Then we get 20% pet haste from Job points. We can get 10% pet haste from familiar. And I suspect the reason Zealous snort is 25% is because that is exactly the deficit to get Vickie up to 80% haste.

80% haste w/ the 69% DA above is pretty darn good white damage.

but it also means we can get 55% pet haste on anything else.

Guttler has some neat options. I wish Onslaught was stronger. Otherwise you want to dual wield with it. Relic WS become pretty decent once you add additional hits to it.

Sadly I feel like only RDM can abuse this fully with Temper II/DW. But on BST it isn't bad at all. Even though it's front loaded with WSDMG, each additional hit is 1.68 -FTP.

I was messing with Guttler/Crep Knife to try and maximize both Onslaught and Ruinator.

BST doesn't really get anything cool like a Flametongue or Sangarius+1.

Not sure which off hand really comes out ahead for multihits (non tp scaling) in that situation. Ternion/Crep seemed like decent options.

I wonder if its worth playing with a Blurred Knife/Axe+1 or something for faster tp gain/weaponskills?

Axe+1 offhand is slow, I tried it years ago and was never impressed. Blurred knife+1 was decent pacing for multi step on BST, but back when I was experimenting , I started with Ridill offhand first. It's terrible for damage, but it's all about fast TP, and it wasn't terrible. Ternion is a reasonable option as well that's probably better overall, but I've found multi attack builds on BST are unreliable for self SC, even ones mixed with STP. Once I got a kraken club, there's no real competition for offhand weapon, it's really a must have for BST if you're looking to keep up DPS wise. Supper fun too. I've also gone ikenga's/barb+1, and under the right circumstances, it hits like a TRUCK, but man is it super slow to get TP solo without Sam roll.

Axes just have terrible delay in general, making dual wielding them on BST a slog

Yeah all of my axe dw sets have ternion in 'em, ton of accuracy and some wsd that is always welcome.
But as you said, multi attack builds are tricky, especially with dw where you have to sacrifice slots for dw+
They become alot more reliable as /war, cause on top of the sj trait you can fill all of the gearslots with da/ta and also have some kind of survivability thanks to gleti pieces.
With the perfect build you can go up to +65 DA (including /war), +16 TA and 8 lolregain, and if the build fails you in between ws at least you have the shield helping you out.
You also end up having 21% crit. hit rate which is alot of fun (especially with farsha, or pangu or even with guttler when the hidden effect proc)

Maybe Tot. Jackcoat +4 to get some MEVA. Its a nice pet -DT piece, but makes you a bit squishy.

I just had an interesting experience. Regarding Limbus, Generous Arthur is great. BST can act as a puller, aggro/link a room, debuff with corrosive Ooze, run it all back and hold monsters fairly well..

I think it got to the point I had 20+ ILVL130 difficulty monsters smacking him. I just idled in pet -DT until sleepga/lullaby landed.

Pretty fun honestly.

The -DT on the enemies kinda sucked. I had to use Naegling to hit decent numbers though.

BST can also serve as a hall monitor of sorts so everyone can teleport up a floor without being interrupted. Can basically be the last man out by having enemies pissed at our pet/take hate off party members.

Downside is on more populated servers this could very well MPK..

Also once you click on the teleporter, The pet will make a bee line for you lol (bringing everything with it)

Obviously talking about af hands and relic head for that _insane_ extra 2% on wsd.

Pretty much.

You also have to consider the relatively limited use, since BST often isn't going for WSD oriented physical WS. Primal Rend and Cloudsplitter will still use Nyame due to the MAB/WSD combo, so those are out. Decimation, Rampage, and lolRuinator won't use WSD.

So you're really left with upgrades only mattering for:
* Blitz (worthwhile boost, but limited to only those with Prime)
* Onslaught (limited to Guttler, generally still worse than just using a different weapon)
* Mistral Axe (kinda meh, but sometimes used so OK fine)

And Savage Blade.
