I meant Brian Williams will do the Daily Show. I know... I was saying he will be free now to do it because he's out of work for the next 6 months at least..

The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are about as close to real news in America as you can get, and they are comedy with a side of talk show. Pretty pathetic.
NPR? PBS?

I suppose you think all the laughing on sitcoms is real, too.

It's true. I read it on the internet.

You know that public radio is way too liberal. They depend on public money. They're clearly communists.

PBS I rather watch the home shopping network.

You want to not laugh for ~21 minutes (Which I think is the average length of a 30-minute sitcom w/out commercials)? Try watching a sitcom w/out the laugh track.
It's brutal.

Gotta buy 20 low-quality pocket knives and for $5?
And a knockoff Highlander Katana for $9.99?

South Park stopped being funny in like 2002. But much like the Simpsons, people still say it's funny out of habit. It's gone on far too long. Even Futurama has gone on too long at this point. And ugh, Tosh. Like 5% funny, 95% *** irritating toolbag.

Your misconceptions of jokes aside...*sigh*
Edit: See, if I Fone had said it, you'd have taken it as a joke right away, but because I said it, you went and got all defensive. Nuts to you, fake expat!

And it went on too long! Sort of. Not as bad as the Simpsons, that's for sure. And South Park has been phoning it in for over a decade.
But as far as Futurama they were still good episodes, but seemed to...lack something to me. I dunno. I enjoyed them all, but something changed when it went to CC.

Daily Show and Colbert had/have a team of 20+ writers. Both Jon and Steven are professional comedians however and long time writers of material. Even if they can't possibly make up the majority of the material, they definitely captain it and have final say and write what they can. Some of those jokes aren't even funny though. It's like they try to be funny, but are trying too hard...
But hey, if anyone wants to attribute all of the jokes to be either host's jokes, go ahead.
Jon Stewart to leave Daily Show, Comedy Central says - BBC
Quote: Jon Stewart, the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, will step down later this year, the president of the network has confirmed.
"His comedic brilliance is second to none," said Michele Ganeless in a statement.
Stewart, who began hosting the show in 1999, will remain there until later in 2015, she said.
"He is a comic genius, generous with his time and talent, and will always be a part of the Comedy Central family."
In 2013, he took time out to direct a film, Rosewater, about an Iranian-born journalist who was imprisoned and accused of spying.
His departure comes after the network lost another major comedy figure, Stephen Colbert, who left to take over David Letterman's late night show on CBS.
LOTS of stories out there on this.
