If people are still playing FFXI and are still willing to pay, I used to just powerlevel. Made a lot of money that way, and offered discounts to people that would key boxes for me in Abyssea.

People have tried to offer me stuffs as I play a female char as main but I really said no, thanks. >.>

Just take the stuff and then make some comment that reveals that you're a guy

Usually refusing then revealing that I'm a guy had pretty funny effects. Like the person starting to avoid me. God knows what kind of fantasies these people have in their mind.

People who troll for *** on a video game knowing absolutely nothing about someone other than they have a female character really aren't the kind of people I feel bad for when they're parted with their money on the basis of their horny stupidity.


This is the dangerous part, though, for the objects of someone's MMO affection. There's no telling how people will react when their illusion is shattered. Especially if you happen to meet/know them IRL.

I can tell you that my wife has had a few borderline stalkers throughout our time in XI just because as far as they knew she was really a woman (she is, but they had no way of being guaranteed that). Even though they also knew we were a couple.

Some of them are just garden-variety pervy, some are downright creepifying and legitimately worrisome.

There are some real *** weirdos out there.

Rich people in XI are all scum who blinkered their way to capped money which was clearly an exploit, use 3rd party tools to sell runs or stole banks to pay for expensive *** HQ abjurations.

When I played I was doing pretty well with Wisteria Lumber before they nerfed it some odd months back :P

Not true.
I had saved almost 400m at one point in game and it was mostly from solo/duo HNM as BST, crafting the items from those HNM drops (after lvl 80 cap), and Devil Manta fishing/crafting BST supplies/food(before 80cap).

To me it seems more productive to use an already existing thread than to make another repeated threat topic, and you all know full well that multiple threads of the same topic annoy people. So apparently there is no winning with you people because most of you are always annoyed and love being so. Instead of being productive and supportive to the members of this site you all (most of you, not ALL) would rather tear down and obstruct the progress of others.

Having ran out of things to do in FFXI. Making money was the only entertainment I had left. I loved watching the gil reserve reach ridiculous amounts. Especially when renting a chocobo, the NPC would say "I see you have 390,356,111 gil. Would you like to rent a Chocobo for 350 gil?" WTF 350 gil?! TOO EXPENSIVE /walks.
I didn't save up that gil by throwing it away on convenience crap like that. (I threw it away on an Ukonvasara instead...)

Anyways, I have a lot of gil making experience and saw this as a good opportunity to share some of that and hope others might be able to bring me back up to date as I have been considering returning also.
