Really interested in what you can farm for 500k-1m a day. That seems a little far fetched. personally i like to sit and spam morion+1 triumph ring and ears then sell them to the poor souls that want to pay ridiculous amounts for goldsmith HQ's but thats just me.
Elder Goobbue - Cuttings (30k+ per stack) / Moss (8k+ per Stack) / Lumber (74k-85k+ Depending on Fame can just sell to NPC) (about 100k/hr with Th3)
Thats just one of the things. It all takes time as farming always does. There are more but I don't want to give up all my farming secrets... Unless you spend 8+ hours farming there I don't see any way in hell you can walk out with 500k+. With TH3? Are you THF/BST? Or are you farming in a group? I 2 Box Thf/Dnc + Mnk/Nin

thats kinda it bcnm are nice but 90% of the time I never get drops so I run out of seals people never do ksnm's when im around ENM lol stupid stupid stupid drop rates for me ISNM, see ENM and BS and gtfo to the person who said making money is easy in FFXI its not. I was piss lucky to buy a hagun and guess what only reason I got it is because some guy paid my bro 150k~/hr for PL'ing him. Netted like 2.5mil and I farmed 1mil~ to finally buy it Farming to keep 500k~ on my mule is ok but still a stupid grind (2~3hrs farming ladybugs for 60k and doing SMN runs for 60k and thats when im not busy or too tired) and cba with crafting really

Making gil in ffxi is easy! If you have two accounts, one of which is a THF and can spend countless hours in the tree! >.>;
usually the people buying ores at bulk are ls banks, my shell funds your first salvage piece, so we are all always watchign ingredients, and tell each other when they are at a good price to buy, then we scoop it all up in bulk. at any given time our "bank" has 25-30m on it.
I loved Zi'tah that place could net me ***tons of gil but its gone now
and Im not gonna lvl THF to 75 for the sake of farming =/ Only other way i'd make money is when my bst dings 75 would be solo'ing a few NMs and killing stuff in tree but no its still not easy not easy not at all =/ Its not just having two accounts or spending time in the Tree, but its about doing a lot of different things and not just the same thing over and over. If you flood the Ah with Tree Cuttings then price will go down and it's the same for every item. You have to find what works for you with what you have at your disposal. I've soloed Sky NNs as rdm/nin and sold stones for 100-200k each for good money as well. There are many ways to make gil just takes research and time. Yes sometimes it will take a few friends.

I tend to murder everything in Dangruf Wadi 100,000 times over brings in alot of gil.
It's also nice to have friends split KC proceeds with you after you've spammed it for a month straight. I havent read all the posts so someone may have already said this, but the economy used to me totaly different. Back in 2005ish I pulled 30M in one day on my bst in ifrits cauldron. Was a better than usual day, but not that much greater than avg. Anyone who saved their bank from back then in loaded now.

At about 12-15k a stack requiring 4 stacks to make 1 stack of ingots that sold for around 60k. Then one day they jump to 40k a stack with ingots still being 60k It's about the profit margin not the actual amount of gil per stack. Low lvl non comsumables arent supposed to be a profit... too many people can do it and too many people power lvlign thru that range

After leveling, gearing, and capping merits on the jobs I take seriously, I spend a hell of a lot less gil. All I spend on nowadays is food and reraise.
HNM, XXNMs, Alexandrite and Ancient beastcoin sales are how I get the majority of my gil though. Used to farm NPCables like a biznatch before SE *** nerfed the hell out of it. /angry about that one lol.

[2196 days between previous and next post]I was able to buy all 15 at once because I farmed Devil Manta like every day (for a long time) and sold Angel Skins for 800k+ each.

Doing Dynamis runs with a limited amount of people and splitting/selling currency among the hourglass buyer(s) garnered a good chunk of change back then too.~
I can tell you specifically that excess whiteshells paid for at least two Ares's bodies in my linkshell. Edit: In hindsight, and in light of the newest crafting ***, I'm not sure why we ever tolerated that system back then, nor why we do it now. It's suuuch crap. But this time around I expect that after it's been out for a while and after updates have finished they'll ease requirements or some such for the remaining population.
