Islamic State Thread

Don't make me have to pull quotes from the Qur'an again showing that it's perfectly ok to stone non-believers to death. Get it! show me where the Quran says to "stone" infidels. Here you go.
Quote: Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) stoned (to death) a person from Banu Aslam, and a Jew and his wife.
And before you get all huffy, it does specifically state and separates out Jewish people. I don't know what I'm doing discussing anything with a person that can't even read.. I don't know how many times you've been told by mulsims what the Quran is and what the hadith is.

Because religion and tradition are different.
But keep using that excuse. "By tradition, it's one way. We don't stone infidels but really love their small pitiful minds and pity them from not opening their heart to our one Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Allah. Don't listen to our holy book that specifically states that we must stone/murder infidels, we don't read from that book unless it's required to read from it. Even then, we don't stone/murder infidels unless the holy book tells us to."

And yes, I know the average Muslim doesn't give a ***if I decided to make a dig at your prophets expense but in the West when we're too afraid to offend Islam even in jest, that says alot about the global image of said religion.
I can insult Buddha, Jesus, Cthulu and Jews wandering around the desert looking for infinite mako energy but hands off my prophet!
Not really true. If the masses feel insulted because you're attacking their faith that's something else.
But do me a favor, go to France, Paris and walk out in the street and go to a police officer and say "I doubt the holocaust. I believe it didn't happen"
Enjoy 5 years in prison.
Oh look, the Holocaust comparison right on cue. Sorry dude, it doesn't compare because you're free to make light of the Holocaust pretty much anywhere as much as any other atrocity and while you will ruffle feathers, you aren't going to be executed or murdered for it. People will look down on you, call it tasteless, shake their heads, haul you off the streets and/or facepalm but you ain't getting murdered for holocaust denial.
Again, I just poked fun at Jesus above and while I'm sure some people would Q.Q that someone defaced a pamphet of Jesus, the chances of being murdered for it are overall low. Unless you're deep in the Bible Belt with the Jesus freaks safely kept in check with diabetes, arthritis and chronic poverty. Thank God for alcohol.
So put on that Nazi/Red Army regalia and get rekt by someone who rightfully thinks of you as a shitstirrer the same way I imagine walking into a Mosque armed with a number of pictures of Muhammad would go down but don't compare the two. I'm not going into 'sacred ground' and making a joke, it's simply the prospect of in any way insulting Muhammad that comes with a death warrant attached to it.
But keep apologizing for extremists though. Guy makes fun of your prophet and the prescription is death! How 600AD of you.

And we've told you before - ALL MUSLIMS do give a ***if you make a "dig" at the prophet. Why can't you understand we are not a culture of mockery and pissing on people's beliefs?
If you think there is 1 adult muslim in the world who would sit and let you mock the prophet infront of them, you're gravely mistaken. So why do you want to poke the Bee's hive? Just because its cool?
Dogmatic fool. If you can't take someone making a dig at your prophet then you're no better than the Islamic maniacs going around killing people because they're the most righteous. Your insecurity surrounding your prophet is the stuff torture traps and inquisitions are made of. A pity it took a veritable mountain of corpses for the Catholics to realize that.
Humor is a means of introspection done right and a dig at your prophet could be used a means of spreading your faith, renouncing the extremism that plagues Islam or looking at the religion differently but how quick you jump to assumptions of insults. All humor isn't tasteless or vitriolic.
People make slavery jokes, holocaust jokes, rape jokes, jokes about Jews, jokes about Christians, jokes about Buddhists, jokes about God, jokes about EVERYTHING. If you can't take a joke then you're no different than the maniacs who ban music and dancing and all manners of fun that come with living a human existence.
Your prophet isn't immune to scrutiny and the desire to kill people that do so is proof positive of the underlying threads that feed extremism.

How hypocritical Muslims get so uptight when someone dares insult their prophet but the Middle East is awash in Jewish jokes.
Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house. But what do I know...

Religion is something personal, I think you know this much better than I ever will. Following this logic and mentality, muslims need to learn TO NOT CARE. When someone insults the prophet, your beliefs or whatever, you mustn't pay attention. These people aren't worth your time as you cannot discuss with them.
Therefore, just move on. Keep your peaceful mind and keep believing, do not let them ruin your peace of mind.
My friend who's muslim doesn't care one bit when the prophet is being mocked. Why? Because he rather focus on the religion itself and keep enjoying it than wasting his time with people that have literally no impact on him.
Someone makes a drawing of the prophet making him look like a dog or whatever. Why do you care? How does it stains your faith? How does it hurt you?
Having an opinion and finding it wrong is fine, I will agree that going out of your way to insult someone isn't smart, but reacting angrily and/or violently to it isn't a good idea in the slightest.
When someone insults something I love for no reason, I think what the impact is. If your wife is being insulted in front of you, or your family, sure, these things are "live", but religion, something that nobody knows what your relationship with it is? No. Because if you answer violently, you are exhibiting your faith and a bad behaviour, both at once.
I haven't read the Coran to tell, but I'm surprised that people aren't taught to let the idiots talk and not care. This is common sense, after all, and maturity/being wise, which is, I think, what religions usually teach.
As for denying the holocaust, it depends. If you tell that to the police, you're fine, if you tell that on TV, you may get a fine, that's about it.
As much as attacking jews is a bad idea in France, you can still pretty much say whatever you want.
I didn't adapt properly when I came back and said a few things that could be understood as antisemites and it was perfectly fine, even in front of the police, it all depends on the context thankfully.

If people in the Bible Belt are so crippled and sick, then why is it even our cheerleaders could whip your football team? People from the Bible Belt make up a disproportionately high percentage of our military. Just because you share Bill Maher's butthurt view on religion doesn't make either one of you right.

But that seems to be a theme among Muslims - ignorance as to what is said or a pretense of ignorance as part of the aforementioned prescribed dishonesty.

Seems like the butthurt extremist Muslims you too can't take a joke. But since you've chosen to dwell on it, the Bible Belt is plagued with all of those things and nothing I said there was a complete fabrication. The belt is poorer, more prone to chronic disease and has an alcohol / substance abuse problem that could make Long Island (peace be onto it) blush. But like I said, joking.
Also, just like the Biblical crusaders of old for you to make comparisons of brute strength as some grandiose position of superiority. A pity your brute strength bends its knee to bankers, politicians, business leaders and other people who honestly couldn't give a ***how many footballs you can spike into the ground.

I'm an atheist because I have daddy issues? Really?

Ironically, it's monotheists who are more likely to have the daddy issues, substituting a cosmic father figure for the absent biological one.
That's my mother in a nutshell. Though her Christianity is so pick and choose at this rate it might as well be choose-your-own-adventure. Part of why I started looking away from Christianity, the hypocrisy and selective hearing is just fundamentally dishonest.

Bah. I'm letting myself get drawn into religious discussions again. Slapping my own hand. Back to Cthulhu.
Quote: Islamic State urges attacks on U.S., French citizens, taunts Obama
Residents of Tabqa city and Islamic State militants tour the streets in celebration after Islamic State militants took over Tabqa air base in northeast Syria, August 24, 2014.
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Islamic State urged its followers on Monday to attack citizens of the United States, France and other countries which have joined a coalition to destroy the ultra-radical group.
Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani also taunted U.S. President Barack Obama and other Western "crusaders" in a statement carried by the SITE monitoring website, saying their forces faced inevitable defeat at the insurgents' hands.
The United States is building an international coalition to combat the extremist Sunni Muslim force, which has seized large expanses of territory in Iraq and Syria and proclaimed a caliphate erasing borders in the heart of the Middle East.
Adnani said the intervention by the U.S.-led coalition would be the "final campaign of the crusaders", according to SITE's English-language transcript of an audio recording in Arabic.
"It will be broken and defeated, just as all your previous campaigns were broken and defeated," Adnani said, according to the recording, which urged followers to attack U.S., French, Canadian, Australian and other nationals.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the group's call showed once again, "if it needed to be shown, the barbarity of these terrorists, and shows why we must fight them relentlessly..." In a statement, he added, using an Arabic acronym for the militants: "We must also eliminate the risk that Daesh represents to our security."
U.S. and French warplanes have struck Islamic State targets in Iraq, and on Sunday the United States said other countries had indicated a willingness to join it if it goes ahead with air strikes against the group in Syria too.
Washington has also committed $500 million to arm and train Syrian rebels and to send 1,600 U.S. military advisers to Iraq to help fight Islamic State, while stressing the U.S. personnel would not engage in combat.
Adnani mocked Western leaders over their deepening military engagement in the region and said Obama was repeating the mistakes of his predecessor, George W. Bush.
"If you fight it (Islamic State), it becomes stronger and tougher. If you leave it alone, it grows and expands. If Obama has promised you with defeating the Islamic State, then Bush has also lied before him," Adnani said, according to the transcript.
"DRAGGED TO DESTRUCTION"
Addressing Obama directly, Adnani added: "O mule of the Jews, you claimed today that America would not be drawn into a war on the ground. No, it will be drawn and dragged ... to its death, grave and destruction."
Obama, who has spent much of his tenure since 2009 extracting the United States from Iraq after its costly 2003 invasion and occupation, is sensitive to charges that he is being drawn into another long campaign that risks the lives of U.S. soldiers.
While Obama has ruled out a combat mission, military officials say the reality of a protracted campaign in Iraq and possibly Syria may ultimately require greater use of U.S. troops, including tactical air strike spotters or front-line advisers embedded with Iraqi forces.
In his statement, Adnani criticised Kurdish fighters who are battling the Islamic State militants in both Syria and Iraq.
"We do not fight Kurds because they are Kurds. Rather we fight the disbelievers amongst them, the allies of the crusaders and Jews in their war against the Muslims," Adnani said.
He added that there were many Muslim Kurds within the ranks of the Islamic State army.
On Monday, Syrian Kurdish fighters halted an advance by Islamic State to the east of a predominantly Kurdish town near the border with Turkey, a spokesman for the main Kurdish group said.
Adnani also condemned Saudi Arabia, whose senior Muslim clergy have denounced Islamic State and whose ruling royal family has joined other Arab states in a pledge to tackle militant ideology as part of a strategy to counter the group.
Adnani condemned Western inaction over Syria's conflict, in which President Bashar al-Assad's forces have been embroiled in civil war with mainly Sunni Muslim fighters since 2011. He said the West had "looked the other way" when barrel bombs were dropped and chemical weapons were used against Muslim civilians.
"So know that – by Allah – we fear not the swarms of planes, nor ballistic missiles, nor drones, nor satellites, nor battleships, nor weapons of mass destruction."
