Reforging Empyrean Armor?

I've just gotten back into the game since maybe a year and a half break.

My question is: Has there been any word of Reforging our hard earned Empyrean armor to Item levels 119 and 109?

Soon.

Do you happen to know how soon and if SE is even talking about it?

I would assume that they would eventually.

They've talked about it.

No set date as of yet, and I wouldn't expect it in the next update.

Just gonna have to wait, could be as long as 6 months could be as short as two.

I keep hearing people mentioning this, but I still haven't been able to find any hard evidence on the official forums, maybe it's just passed me by somehow.

Same here, I keep searching the internet for answers on this, but I haven't really stumbled upon much for answers. Oh well, that's why this thread was made lol.

Got a link anywhere? I'm intrigued. Though it can't be much worse than lampshade-hat.

Edit: Also trying to find the post they mentioned reforging all of the job specific armors. Little harder to do now knowing the Dev tracker only goes back to ~December and there's not a way to better filter the posts after selecting it. x.x

On the official forums there was a dev post about armor reforging. They mentioned artifact, relic and empyrean armors being reforged. You can search the official forums for the actual posts. So far they have reforged artifact and relic armor. I am hoping that the empy reforged armor comes out in the July and August updates.

That concept art is actually looking pretty cool, I have to say.

IIRC: It was in the first youtube streaming thingy that Matsui did where he revealed that all three would be given iLvs up to 119....

I don't understand how people have denied that relic and empyrean sets would be iLv'd... (not saying you have, but dear GOD there are people who fear/hate the past stuff or are too lazy to be bothered or whatever.)
I guess it's from the same people who decried REMs ever being not shat upon.
I even remember this one time in a dead delve LS... where I was basically called stupid for believing that the relic and empyrean armors would ever be upgraded and that AF1 is all there will be...

Geomancers from Final Fantasy 3 on DS. This isn't the first time they've used designs from FF3 either. I can't blame them. They are all cool looking designs.

Selenian Cap from A Moogle Kupo d'Etat was taken from the Magus class.



Champion's Galea from A Moogle Kupo d'Etat and Nuevo Coselete from A Crystalline Prophecy were both taken from the Knight class.

Well people are talking about it, because after we've seen Artifact armor and shortly after, Relic armor upgraded to iLVL. It's rightfully assumed that they'll upgrade empyrean armor as well, but just like Spathaian said, who knows...
I'm sure SE will make us wait awhile before they come out with it. They want to save some bullets for the future...

My money is on them pushing back Empyrean armor upgrades a little longer and using them as the device to usher us into a higher ilvl, 125 perhaps or something similar. If they did that, much butthurt would ensue.

I love that GEO AF3 look
