For those who aren't keeping up, they're also removing Alpha correction from WSC; this means that all weaponskills are receiving an additional 15% WSC (multiplied; not necessarily an added 15% to, say, 30% STR to make 45%, but rather you no longer remove 5% from the 30).

So all WSs are getting a slight buff? even the ones that weren't touched on the surface like Drakesbane?
Would love for Moten to come on here and do what he did for MNK and THF applied to DRG WSs..

Drakesbane gains 8% STR WSC by removing alpha.

Would love for Moten to come on here and do what he did for MNK and THF applied to DRG WSs.. Wouldn't you just have to go to the corresponding cell's formula and delete the "*0.85" part? At least after doing that, the WSC is what it should've been if getting rid of the Alpha.

Thats all good and well, but i'm at work and don't have the ability to do that right now.
I just meant the general comparison of WSs like he did for MNK and THF previously in the post.

So would I! Very curious about the new Camlann buff and how it stacks up with the depressingly unmodified Drakesbane with AM3.

Seems like Physical Blue Spells under CA/AL are getting neglected.

Just got dancing edge, so there goes my gust slash spam... oh and DE is unchanged. D'oh! Actually it got a 10% increase to its Dex mod. Oh nice. I was looking at the wiki page, maybe they changed it already.

Yes every ws will get stronger.
nless they add to the base attack values, Coronach stayed the same, 40% AGI/40% DEX mod.
Missed they are removing the Alpha correction to WSC

It was depressing. When they announced a month ago that they would be buffing WSs because they felt that people were using the Merit Weaponskills so much, they mentioned mythics WS as one of the targets of change. I was extremely excited because I was about to finish my Ryunohige at the time. Now it looks like that excitement was misguided :(
To be fair, even a small boost to Drakes is a big boost for Ryu DRG. (now SE just need to remove that wonderful attack penalty..)

I might be a ill late to the party but...

It's an important question because those might be the only ppl we have to pt with in the future lol.
All jokes aside I never use the dd trust because there worthless.. Would be nice to actually be able to use dd npc's for events
By ScaevolaBahamut 2014-06-13 14:33:21
In that case, buffs to individual trusts (Ayame and Tenzen both got nods in the notes; WTF SAM is OP plz fix) would be of more interest, I'd think.

As a long time BLU i am very happy about this. I remember back at 75 CA savage blade ..cannonball did insane damage other DD were so jealous. ....NOW i can savage blade again so happy.

Basically this is a way to help dual wielders and low base damage weapon jobs (katana, dagger, sword) catch up some to GreatAxe,G.Katana,ect. and still make everyone happy.
You will see a smaller boost to jobs where the base weapon damage is high because the modifier is a smaller percent of the overall damage than the dual wielded weapons. With a quick glace it appears Evisceration is getting the biggest boost. Adding 20% to the mod (current 30%) and removing the alpha will get it a near 40% boost in damage. Most weaponskills will be seeing between 10%-20% increase.
The tp gain from lower delay weapons is also supposed to increase, so im curious to see how viable this will make jobs like bluemage, dancer, ninja in competition for "heavy" DD. There could be some resurgence of war/nin also.

Dancer is quite impressive in bee Delve already, this would probably put them near the top for piercing weak stuff is my guess.

Just because the blue mages and dancers you've seen suck ***, doesn't mean they all do!
Dancer can easily beat most DD's on Muyingwa

Dancer can easily beat most DD's on Muyingwa That's not what I'm saying. I main dnc and would appreciate a solid buff. I know what they're capable of.

a good dancer keeps right up with average heavy DD's on most things. A buff would make top notch dancers compete, and I can't imagine turning down a little extra utility on the front line. Steps/sambas bring in a new dynamic for jobs that can cap delay reduction with normal haste buffs.

Honestly Steps from DNC are potent (Box Step being one of them) and the increases to TP gain / Evisceration Damage / Rudra's Storm / Increasing Damage Over time for 1 Handers ONLY? These are going to potentially make NIN and DNC the top DD's depending how potent these increases are.

COR is probably still more ideal for steps/samba with additional buff/dia+ though, it's still 1h DD so it gets increased TP gain too. Last stand already avg higher than most of the WS before alpha removal, now you're going to spam it even faster.
And depending on how good magical WS boost is, leaden salute+ DP has the potential to be OP ._.

If you aren't using Apex/Namas samurai on Muyingwa, you're doing it wrong.
