Actually they all have in common one thing:
All the mass shooters were either depressed suffered some anxiety issues etc. And taking SSRI drugs.

Fun fact, Nazis killed the use of the Swastika. Before then it was a commonly used symbol.
Quote: The swastika (also known as the gammadion cross, cross cramponnée, or manji) (as a Chinese character: 卐 or 卍) is a symbol that generally takes the form of an equilateral cross, with its four legs bent at 90 degrees. It is considered to be a sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
It has been used as a decorative element in various cultures since at least the Neolithic, and is found on a man's tunic depicted in a Roman mosaic at the Villa Romana del Casale in Sicily. It is known most widely as an important symbol long used in Indian religions, denoting "auspiciousness." It was adopted as such in pre-World War I-Europe and later, and most notably, by the Nazi Party and Nazi Germany prior to World War II. In many Western countries, the swastika has been stigmatized because of its use in Nazism. It continues to be commonly used as a religious symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.
The word swastika derives from the Sanskrit svastika (Devanagari: स्वस्तिक) "lucky or auspicious object". The older term gammadion cross in Western literature derives mainly from its appearance, which is identical to four Greek gamma letters affixed to each other. Swastika
Finnish Air Force used it as part of their flag until only recently. (2005)
Training Air Wing, Finnish Air ForceBefore WWII the Eagle Scouts used to be known as "The Order of the White Swastika.
It was a common American Indian symbol.
Personal history. I went to a boarding school who's central building was this IMMENSE early 20th century brick house. The front porch had the Indian Swastika in white bricks surrounded by red.
Mom, Nana, my sister, and I never commented on it.

Quote: A 2,500 manifesto that apparently was posted by Dylann Roof Storm reveals his obsession against Jews, Hispanics and East Asians, as well as the American flag.
Storm, why has pleaded guilty the murders of nine blacks in a Charleston, S.C. church last week, wrote his rant on the Last Rhodesian website, which originally was registered in his name, according to The New York Times.
The only thing differentiating Roof from Hitler seems to be a moustache.
...
One photo of Roof has a clear reference to Hitler. He is shown at a beach with the number “1488.” a code used by White supremacists. The number 14 refers to a 14-word slogan: We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White Children” and is apparently inspired by an 88-word passage in Mein Kampf.
The digits “88” have at least two meanings. The letter “H” is the eighth letter in the alphabet, and two of the letters together, which would be 88, are the initials for Heil Hitler. Dylann Roof's Anti-Jewish-Spanish-East Asian Manifesto

Breaking News:
Reuters has no story yet (only headline), so I had to Google something more than a headline.
Quote: French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said on Monday that he had "summoned immediately" the US ambassador over a report that American spies eavesdropped on millions of calls made by French citizens.
Laurent Fabius told reporters as he arrived for an EU foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg, that a meeting would take place "this morning" at the ministry in Paris.
In an interview on French radio station Europe 1, Interior Minister Manuel Valls described as “shocking” the revelations in Le Monde newspaper that the US National Security Agency had secretly recorded millions of phone calls made by French citizens.
The spy agency taped 70.3 million phone calls in France over a 30-day period between December 10 and January 8 this year, Le Monde reported in its online version, citing documents from former US security contractor Edward Snowden.
According to the paper, the NSA automatically picked up communications from certain phone numbers in France and recorded text messages under a programme code-named "US-985D."
Le Monde said the documents gave grounds to believe that the NSA targeted not only people suspected of being involved in terrorism but also high-profile individuals from the world of business or politics.
US authorities declined comment to the French daily on the "classified" documents.
The Le Monde article followed similar revelations by German weekly Der Spiegel that US agents had hacked into the email account of former Mexican president Felipe Calderon.
Mexican authorities have said they will be seeking answers from US officials "as soon as possible" following the allegations.

Good thing im not Clinton or Gore and still think the Confederate flag represents the worst elements of America. But whatever it takes to pander out some votes, eh?
You're still free to fly it high on your property and im still free to think you're embracing a flag that stood for division, slavery and traitors.

Make fun of the "feels" aspect all you want, but what was done was unprofessional, against the rules, and unquestionably malpractice. The first two are questionable for legal recourse, though she certainly should lose her job (edit: in my opinion, though I suppose I could poll the physicians in my building and see how they feel abou it).
The last, however, is sort of important, and is a good way to try to lose your license completely depending how damaging your actions were to your patient.

I'm basically fine with that, as a "moron tax". You can mock this guy's feels all you like, but idiocy in medical professionals needs to be exposed and punished harshly. These people are literally making life or death decisions, dozens every day, and anything that filters out the people too stupid to keep a semblance of professionalism is fine with me.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether I would defend the guy or not. A part of me says that professionalism is of course important, but the other part of me knows that hospital doctors use humor sometimes to take their minds off of the terrible things that they have to deal with on a regular basis.

You're right to a degree.
But you don't do it around patients or clients. Be professional about it. Have some situational awareness, for ***'s sake.
Say you've got a patient named Steve Stefano Stevenson. Make a silly comment about his name once he leaves the office, or maybe if he's there for a basic checkup or something maybe josh him about it.
...if he's there finding out he's got stage IV inoperable cancer, maybe put the wakka-wakkas back in the bag for a bit.
If you're gassing someone for a procedure or otherwise partaking in the procedure, maybe save the jokes about the guy's John Thomas until you're out of earshot of the guy, and once you're doing probing his nethers.

Blame it on our legal system and giving juries all that power. Appearantly the settlement amount was a compromise as it landed in some kind of middle ground between what was demanded and two jurors one which thought he should get more and one which thought he should get nothing.
In any case when you put 12 people up there with no legal experience and you do something as stupid and unprofessional as these people did you leave it up to their whim as long as it meets some kind of legal requirement. I mean thats why you have multimillion dollar settlements to the families of thiefs that get injured or killed breaking in to facilities in an attempt to steal something.
All in all these people were completely unprofessional and definitely should have had medical malpractice charges brought against them.
