Buying cold cuts does suck though because it doesn't last in a fridge more than 2-3 days before going bad and buying it piecemeal is costly. 6-7/lb for sliced turkey here. 5-6 for cheese. in our local delicatessen. Make babies->eat them.

The local deli in a supermarket slices off your run of the mill wheel of Boar's Head ham or peppered turkey. In the fridge after a few days that turkey starts to taste awful, it's best after 1-2 days tops. The cheese will last much longer naturally. Weeks. Then you have the vaccuum sealed ham/turkey that come individually wrapped. It lasts much longer but also costs more. It's also harder to find for me since apparently everyone around here prefers bologna. If I'm doing cold cuts, I just buy 1/4lb at a time to avoid waste. |
