I don't disagree that we need to cut military spending down, but not as much as liberals/democrats want to cut it.

I have no problem maintaining the largest/best-equipped military in the world.
But we need to change the way we do it. We shouldn't be spending more than the next 10+ militaries in the world combined.
Start with getting rid of the ridiculous contracting system we have. We've all seen the jokes about the crazy costs of things on invoices from private companies to the government, but they're not jokes. That ***is real. Dumping billions into projects that are doomed to fail, maintaining equipment the military doesn't even want, etc.
Government spending as a whole is a mess, and finding ways to change it as a whole are needed.
But simply cutting and cutting and cutting from basically everything but military spending is irresponsible.

I am for an audit of everything, every agency, every department with an absolute end to baseline budgeting. You cannot just continue to grow every single budget every year with zero review. It is a death spiral and it is only done to protect politicians from making decisions because even suggesting a modest adjustment in spending gets demonized by political rivals. Look at the absolute visceral reaction to the Republicans proposals by people that know absolutely nothing about them and do not care to.
this ignorant cheerleading

Not just an audit of the books, but audit of controls and procedures.
GAO is not an outside agency...

You don't think continuing to run nearly trillion dollar a year deficits is pathetic or dangerous? What the hell happened to Democrats? They used to be responsible. They are so driven now by the fringe left. If the President's plan will still run 800 billion dollar deficits then why raise taxes at all? He clearly doesn't want to grow the economy.
The Democrats won't even have to say no that proposal, as I said, it won't even make it out of the House, nor will Senate Republicans support it. Its radical, and dead. Meanwhile, the economy continues to grow, unemployment is down, and the dollar has exceeded expectations.

Oh, the liberals/democrats will just filibuster any proposal the Republicans make and then blame the Republicans for not meeting their demands, the media will lap it up and Obama will just accuse them of not playing fair. Then he will just sign an executive order to all agencies telling them their spending caps (or lack of) and plead that it isn't executive overreach.

Even if they would do that, isn't it exactly was republicans have been doing for the last 6-7 years? First 2 years of Obama's regime.
The 4 years afterwards have just been bickering among the legislative branches, in which Reid just refuses to even bring House bills to be looked at.
Democrats have been saying for years that, if put in the position the Republicans were in, they wouldn't be filibustering left and right....

And they haven't. They are no where near the filibuster rate that McConnell boasted for the last 6 years, the last two of which he was over 80%. Like I said, its cute to watch them cry about it.

Every politician wants to increase military spending, and if you don't want it done, you're unpatriotic and you clearly want our troops to die.

http://killfil.com/senators/mitch-mcconnell-ky/Quote: My premise is that a vote against a cloture motion is equal to a vote for a filibuster. So basically, the obstruction rate is the number of Nay votes on cloture motions, divided by the total number of cloture votes in the given time period.

Attack the source all you want, it doesn't change the stats. They filibustered everything, and the difference is they didn't allow the bills to pass, whereas the Dems are once the poison pills are removed. The human trafficking bill will pass overwhelmingly, once the abortion pill is removed. But the complaints will keep coming for our amusement. It took the House what, 1 filibuster to demand the rules be changed?

How many votes does the Minority Leader carry with him? If McConnell had voted yay, how many of those filibusters would have died? I'm guessing almost all of them, so yes he is guilty by association. I would blame some other junior senators less if they were following him, but McConnell doesn't get off. And already he is proving to be just as weak as Boehner. But its ok, they are only renting the Senate for 2 years, 1 really, because we all know nothing will happen in Congress 2016.

What the hell is wrong with you, I just gave you where the 80% came from. Well, the 80% is wrong, and I told you why.

It doesn't really matter either way. Whether it's the democrats or republicans fillibustering or refusing to bring bills they know won't be passed or whatever other accusations there are out there... there's little doubt that the other side wouldn't use it when it comes to being their turn to be faced with it.
Both sides will then continue to *** how the other one did it and how their use was worse than when they did it and so on and so forth. We will get to hear about how the other side is hypocritical too. The dems said they wouldn't do what the pubs did like the pubs said they wouldnt do what the dems did in their position.
It's all a sign of the greater disfunction in congress and how they can't seem to find a way to work together on things that are now strictly partisan. Whats their solution? Point the finger at the guy across the isle!

The human trafficking bill will pass overwhelmingly, once the abortion pill is removed. But the complaints will keep coming for our amusement. It took the House what, 1 filibuster to demand the rules be changed? The "abortion pill" is one I don't really understand when it comes to the human trafficing bill. It looks like its not actually in the bill itself but it makes reference to adhering to the funding bill that was just passed not to long ago. Pretty much adhering to where we are now with it that US tax dollars don't go towards funding abortions. Though the money used to fund this program to assist victims would come through fines against people that violate laws regarding sex trafficing and other things like it. So the argument against it is that since the money is not actually coming from US tax dollars the public would not be paying for it and therefore not applicable in this matter.
Republicans, in general, are staunchly anti-abortion with the exceptions of rape and the such which in human trafficing it would seem that any baby conceived would be the product of rape. that combined with the fact that the money would not be coming from US tax dollars I don't see why they would need to put this in the bill in the first place.

So basically everything is fine and nobody should complain about any kind of democrat filibuster. Who's complaining again?
Unless you are attributing the term "complaining" as pointing out the hypocrisy. Which, going by your earlier statement, wouldn't be surprising.
