I like where this is going...generally speaking !
I generally don't speak in specifics, especially when I'm specifically being general.

" Jeb Tries It Both Ways On Indiana"
I really don't care what the article is about, that's just a quality headline.

that directly contravenes my deeply held religious beliefs.
You don't even understand your "deeply-held" religious beliefs.
Unless you disregard the New Testament and just don't buy into that "love everyone and look past their sins because you aren't perfect either" concept that Jesus fella tried to tell you.
I do understand my beliefs. I can love the people and deplore the actions. Is that too hard for you to understand? Never did I say that I hate homosexuals. What I did say is that I wouldn't have my business involved in an affair that is sinful. I'd not support a gay marriage, a Wiccan sabbat, etc. That doesn't mean that I hate those people. If someone actively pursues a sinful behavior then I should shun them, if they will not respond to loving discussion of why their behavior is sinful and that the Lord wants them to change it.
I mentioned earlier a prominent member of my church is a non-practicing homosexual. He wouldn't be allowed a position of authority if he pursued a path of sinful behavior. Same thing applies to an alcoholic. If he's "on the wagon" he could hold an office in the church. If he fell off the wagon and again lost himself in drink, then he'd be removed from office. We'd still love him and try to help him end his sinful practice. See Matthew 18:15-20.
Is it so hard for you to see the distinction between normal social/economic interactions (selling a customer a bagel) and becoming a part of an that to me is sinful (gay wedding, Wiccan sabbat, binge drinking party, etc.)? Where did I say I hated homosexuals? Your bigotry is the one on display here, not mine.
Don't fret, I'll pray for you, that some day you'll see the Light.

...I can disagree with some of their positions and not others? It doesn't have to be so binary, and the fact that you view it that way isn't surprising. Why not? Liberals love to group Republicans into one bucket. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Yo dawg, I heard you like sweeping generalizations so we put some generalization into your comment on generalizations so you can be generalized while being accused of generalization! That was actually funny.

Liberals love to group Republicans into one bucket. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Again. Not all dems lump all pubs in the same bucket. There are some that do yes. Just like some pubs like to lump all dems together. Just look at Nausi's posts if you want an example.
You se it on these boards every day on every side. Take you for example. You staunchly stand on the republican side for some things but you edge more towards the middle on other topics.
I'm viewed as a liberal here but I'm pro-life.
It's pretty easy to see that you can disagree with the general business practices of a company but still agree with a specific stance they take outside of that. It doesn't make an argument to say that can't agree with something because you disagree with something else they do. The having your cake and eating it too wouldn't apply.

That is why I don't feel guilty about going to Starbucks. Sure I disagree with the social justice ***. But damn it they have some good coffee. Plus there is no other coffee shop around sadly...

Between you and my brother-in-law maybe you'll get somewhere.
But I doubt it.

Trust me, there are plenty of *** awful dry weddings out there, and they're all as terribly stuffy, boring, and intolerable as you'd expect and then some.

It's overpriced imo. That and I don't really like coffee that much, only in ice cream form for some reason.

What about divorces? Do you speak to divorcees? Do you wear polyester? Do you have tattoos, or deal with anyone who does?
Or do you just make more excuses to exclude people and pretend God told you to?

I've been to some pretty awful weddings when booze was present so I doubt it's just because the wedding is dry that makes it that way lol. I have never been to a dry wedding though myself.

I don't go in the Starbucks I just brew it at home. Though the few times I have they are surprisingly friendly...

Also, essentially every holiday you celebrate as a "Christian" holiday is appropriated from older traditions that predate Christianity or even old testament times.
Or do you also believe in the "young Earth" idiocy?

I've been there a few times out of social obligations and the store itself isn't bad, just frequently the clientele.
I don't care for the Starbucks coffees, but they also own Seattle's Best and I like a few of that brand, and I'll buy that stuff for at home. So I guess I still support them in some fashion.

No, no. It wasn't high school and it wasn't Blair Witch.
For you it was more like late elementary school/early middle school, and it was The Craft.
And let's be honest; you run into four girls dressed like that you'll consider converting too.

Let me put it this way.
Alchohol doesn't make a good wedding.
But lack of it nearly always makes a bad one.

I honestly didn't know the difference between a goth and a wicca cause I didn't really care in high school

The former likes to dress in black and wear eye liner and be dramatic. The latter does those things sometimes, but also subscribes to neo-pagan spiritualism.

Rightfully calling a someone a bigot for their bigoted beliefs isn't the same as endorsing outright discrimination no matter how much you need it to be in order to dispel the notion that modern conservatives are on the wrong side of this issue over and over and over again.
