As I don't have any mage jobs levelled, I got onto my old paladin job to see if I could cure for 750+ to finish this quest.
After getting many types of gear together, I have yet to cure over 750 unless I use Divine Seal. I have tried many atmas in abyssea, (although I appear to be missing certain MND superior atma) I have tried doing it in Adoulin also.
I have been using skillup tomes, bought skillup tomes, stood there and cured non stop for hours. I continue to raise my healing magic skill, it was low to begin with (195) and is now up to a base skill of 292 (348 after gear) and the closest I have been to it was 742 HP.
I don't even know how I got that high, I was on /RDM at the time, using the exact same gear I have been using, but since then I only cure for 680 or sometimes even lower. Really don't want to have to level a mage to do this quest.
Anything else I could try? Thanks for any tips.

sanus ensis, Adamas, phalaina locket, kunaji ring, and oneiros earring might do it... or some combination of them.
You could also trying grinding out a /SCH for Light Arts too.
You should list what you're using so we can better know what to suggest.

Well considering my PLD has been retired since 75 cap (old dynamis days) I have some relics and my standard AF and anything I picked up on DRK along the way. I bought some gears and borrowed some gear also .. i'll make a gearset, although I know some pieces could be upgraded slightly by splashing out.
ItemSet 324154
I think I know why my cure IV was close to 750, it might have been lightsday at the time.. still skilling away.

If you're at 742 see if you can get a SCH friend to Aurorastorm you and use a korin obi and/or use a chatoyant staff or iridal staff.
EDIT:
I think I know why my cure IV was close to 750, it might have been lightsday at the time.. still skilling away. If that's the case the Obi should put you over the top with the aid of Aurorastorm, or go into Nyzul Isle as someone mentioned earlier in the thread and cast on yourself.

That's possible.. if only I had a scholar friend lol. Guess I could try waiting for lightsday again and see how much I can do.

Yes I was just wondering if I could do without those zones, so I could just stand in a zone for a long while and get all 100 finished. Reason being is that those zones don't have extra buffs for refresh and can't use npcs. If I can't then I will use those zones thanks.

Just have to thank Azryel for pointing out that skilling on skeletons in Abyssea-Grauberg is a much quicker way to raise the skill. I got so many skills in such a short time.
I need to sleep, but I will try the nyzul area later to see if I can get that quest done. Thanks for all the tips!

Hospitaler Earring, sangys ensis and Adamas combo if you can't get them use chant staff it iridal, or Templar mace and dagda's shield, phalaina locket, buremte gloves, shabti armed +1 then there is a belt earring and ring that enhance cute pot too and a lot of those items are easy to get

or to save on getting all that gear, even if u not to fussed do whm just burn it to 99 (do to 30 then key 30-99 in abby) and let mandies in boyahda tree hit u n cure yourself lol, rdm sub makes it quicker as u can convert every now and again and cure yourself to. If your not gonna use whm after it wont matter if its gimp lol....

Dude in ls was saying about this guy:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Mictlantecuhtli
As hes most of time in physical absorb phase, you just need to leave him in yellow hp and melee, so you will recover him. Aparently, this is considered in roe quest.
Others nms that have this absorb feature:

Make a max hp set and a min hp set. Hit macro min > macro max > cure > repeat. I did this with savior, allure and some other thing with 10% cure pot. Cure 4 was hitting 868 every time with only buremte gloves on. I would guess if you have some other cure pot gear you could easily do 750+ with those atmas, possibly less.

This.
I completed the 750+ RoE quest during one AA EV solo as BST. Using Pet Food and Dawn Mulsims count as healing, and since both heal your pet for at least a couple thousand HP at a time, it doesn't take long to complete the quest.

To everyone saying let mobs hit you... No go Into abyssea get your buffs and just cancel the hp buff and cure.. Rinse wash repeat you never have to move after you get buffs

that is actually a great idea. you could probably make a script to cancel the HP buff whenever you use cure 4 as well

Use these for more healing power.
Kaiser/Koenig Schaller (aug. cure potency)
Hospitaler Earring

Buremte Gloves
Kunaji Ring
Asklepian Ring
Chuq'aba Belt
Plug in +HP gear everywhere else.
Equip these gears to drop HP before casting cure.
