Final Fantasy Type-0 Fan Translation Project

Just posting straight from the news post on their site.
This is a fan translation of Final Fantasy Type-0 for PSP, which was never localized in english.
Quote: For the past few weeks I’ve been discussing with the rest of the team a possible release date. As it turns out, even though the main story line is tested and looks pretty good, there are literally thousands of NPC’s that need to be corrected as well.
This is why the beta testing stage will take some more time than I had initially thought. However, not all are bad news, as we did reach an agreement about the release date! So I made a translation teaser to show different parts of the game, always featuring perfectly English-localized texts, and a nice, adapted interface. Of course, it also shows the day all fans will have access to the patch :).
As always, I’d like to give thanks to the wonderful Operation Doomtrain team, for making this possible, to Total-Noob, for adapting his Vita CFW so it’s compatible with out patch, and of course, to all Final Fantasy fans. This goes for you: YouTube Video Placeholder

In any case, fans now know the latest date they can play the game in English. We agree that it’s better to have a late date that we can push sooner, than having a near date that could be delayed. So be sure we’ll update as soon as we have more news!
Expected release date is August 8th.

Honestly a few months to fully translate a long game is pretty damn impressive.
I've been waiting much longer for "School Days" to be fully translated, but I guess it goes with the popularity of a FF title vs a graphic novel.

After a certain point, it's obvious that they aren't really trying to get your money. If they don't give you a feasible option to pay them, I can't blame people for not doing it. I'm not about to spend 2-300 bucks to purchase a console I have no other use for than one game. So, you're not really stealing if they weren't getting your money either way. I don't do it, but I wouldn't look down my nose at someone who did.

I don't care about this morality debate as I've played pirated games only for most of my life. But anyway I'd play other games with it(there are quite a few title I'm interested in), it's just that this particular one is what would encourage me to go ahead and spend money.

lol ok sharp shooter... for one they admitted to stealing for most their lives with no remorse for their actions and on another note they showed a clear reasoning to draw the conclusion that they are the type of person who has no perspective on anything outside their egotistical sense of perception to grasp their impact on a collective issue involving the massive parasitic blob that is people like the subject.

Objective: SE doesn't provide any way to collect money from their most devout fans and is probably suffering because of this financial mismanagement.

Grow up and realize that licensing is a sham, and has gotten way beyond it's original purpose.
Doing a translation of this game for areas that it's not available is in the spirit of innovation, and they're not profiting off it. Grow up.
