all canadians have a dark obsession with america... and the weirdest notion that anyone here has even heard of...or cares at all about... canada.

they can wax philosophically for hours about even the most trivial minutia of our policies.... any canadian knows more about our congressman than any hundred people on the streets of any one of our major cities.

then when they finish yapping they always ask what we think of cananda and I love telling them americans only know of cananda because of niagra falls and the unusual hambacon like substance on an egg mcmuffin...

the canadians are definitely less stuffy. Ole' Rob Ford is still mayor over there. some religious nuts would have chased him out of office with pitchforks if he were the mayor of Chicago or Detroit.

First off... I'll have you mind your tongue when you speak of Chicago politics as you're much more likely to find some crazy religious nuts in your neck of the woods than mine lol... but seriously Chicago and detroit? Those are probably the two worst examples for this lol...

Chicago politicians have gotten away with much worse and still do. They're just starting to crack down on em... Jesse Jr. started his fall from grace, I admit I revelled in this... sad thing is if he would have been allowed to run again he would have won lol.

All that being said we are a nation of appearances...

I've been to Detroit yea nothing to see there. I do like the baseball team though. They have that I guess.

I've never even seen religion brought up in Chicago. Its all my money is less dirty than that guy's.

Rob Ford is great. Some day, in the history books, kids will read about him. Anytime someone says something about Rob Ford I ask them to wait until I am done drinking so I dont make a mess laughing.

The last two governors of Illinois are both sitting in jail, lol. Bruce Rauner will join them soon enough, but he will never be governor.
