We were having a discussion in LS not long ago about what is the single, hardest item to get in game. Level is not important. Relics, Mythics and Empy stuff doesn't really count...
Some said it was still a Ridil and other say it is Bahamut's Mask. Another said Black Belt cause no one wants to do the fights anymore...
So what do you guys think? What is the single most difficult item in game to get regardless of level?

I'd have to say Nocturnus Mail, Body and Nightfall. Dec event aside where it was given out, it's near impossible for any server to take control of the zones required to open the Fiat Lux BC. No one does campaign anymore.

The rarest items in the game by far. Simply because it's only ever been accessible for 3 weeks (roughly) in the entire games history. Or technically, Aymur, seeing that only 2 exist across all servers. I can list at least 200 items much more rare than lolridill. The bird cap from Almighty became much less rare, I've got 3... no point selling. Could argue for a regain feather if you mean entirely legit.

At least until recently, they may have changed the spawn conditions as of late. Mecurial pole is quite a pain to get, although i'm sure it's not the hardest. Laurel crown is a very good answer.

I had completely forgot about Fiat Lux and the Nightfall-Nocturnus set! Those were studly back in the day...shame they are only lvl 75. But then, the proc rate wasn't so great or so I heard...been a long time since I saw that set in action. Nice stuff so far...keep em coming! Hope to find that really weird "thing" that everyone has forgotten about... Maybe there is a "sword of a thousand truths" somewhere in the files....lmao...j/k! Daihannya. That is all.
Joking aside, it's difficult to call a lot of these items "hard to obtain" because they're so heavily dependent on luck. I'd have to agree that the Fiat Lux drops are some of the few truly difficult-to-obtain items left in the game because, as was previously stated, nobody really does Campaign any more. You would have had to work extremely hard to unlock lux, and there was a very real possibility control would be lost befoe you obtained all desired items.
yeah, Nocturnus mail was my one treasured items simply because so few people actually had it (on my server at least). It's also one of the few 75 era items that retains its usefulness to some degree. Difficult to get because of the conditions of unlocking the fight (drop rate's not good either, you could use all of your tags the full 2 weeks you'd have the fight available and not see it drop) rather than the fight itself, although if it capped at 75 that'd be pretty cool. It's the best Shadow/Dynamis Lord fight in the game by a considerable margin.
Kind of annoying that they handed it out to everyone (or at least, everyone lucky enough to get a gold mog code). But whatever. It's not the hardest thing to get, but I suspect that Lilith's Rod may be at the far end of probability. It appears to have a reasonable drop rate, but coming exclusively from a one-time quest NM is possibly unique.
Living Rod, off Cemetery Cherry. Easy NM to kill, but i think has the worst drop rate, on a 60-72 hour repop timer

Basically, rarest automatically goes to the lowest mythic, be it still Aymur, or possibly Murgelis.
