Having a rough time doing this one low-man. Uncapped, even naked, we are resisting too much. Too few people to do it at lvl 70 cap. Really don't have the time or patience at this point to shout. Just want it done on myself and at least one other character.

If I need to shout ultimately, I will. But if someone on the Bahamut server has it figured it out and wants to make some gil, please PM me or /tell me ingame.

Thanks.

What you can do is remove all your 119 gear and whatever vomit-item you have on.

Try that.

You sure you're trying to get the right status ailments?

I'm 2/2 on this assault - one naked mule, one bard whacking in idle set with azdaja, one super tanker and i never really have problems with resists :3 May resist on the tanker but on the naked mule (it is lvl 99 war/sam) and even my bard (idle set has no ilvl119 gear), not really... Only problem might be the status duration being too short.

It's a bit luck based and can get quite close to timing out. But the problem for me is always the mob not doing the right TP move. :3

Would help you but not in bahamut. Bumpy and good luck!

Yeah, we tried this. My friend was on BLU and only had Abyssea or lower gear, and I was on MNK naked with only Twilight Torque, Defending Ring, -DT Dark Ring, and Engulfer's cape (when I was doing the frogs).

I know my BLU friend resisted several of the TP moves that would have inflicted him. As MNK, I tried different families, and they just couldn't land anything.

Two runs, and total we got 1 enfeeb landed.

Maybe we are doing something wrong. Point is everything I have said is what happened and we are nowhere close.

Well we are going off of the mobs on wiki. If some ailments stick easier, then maybe we should try that. Duration wouldn't be much of a problem as we are pulling them to the NPC. I feel we have also had the problem of the mobs not doing them enough, but even when they do we resist. 1 ailment in 2 runs so far.

We may be doing something very wrong. Maybe we simply need more people and/or different jobs. At this point I am ready to just toss in the towel and buy the win, lol.

However, your advice and good will is very much appreciated.

Go in, let someone die.
Weakened state = Lower resistance to everything.
Enjoy.

10/10 using this strat for people.

as much as i doubt you have any evidence that weakness has an effect on magic evasion, i did this 3x to get clears for all of my/friends mules and we never had our naked mages resist a single status ailment so it seems a bit unnecessary anyway

Definitely willing to try those two things.

1. Try weakened

2. Mage jobs

But yeah, I didn't realize that weakness affected resistance either.

Thanks for the advice.

Will try both as I still don't have a seller, lol.

OR: A weakened mage? lol. Making jokes now just to get over failing an assault multiple times. It truly is demoralizing.

I wasn't stating I had evidence of this, I was stating a method I used that worked.

I didn't record the instances and number of resists / non resists against a large enough sample to try it.

But I used the basis that you have lower Macc while Weakened, lower HP and MP, logic would dictate if your Macc is lowered your Meva might also be affected.

Irrespective it works for me, and I hope it works for the OP.
