So I woke up from saving my game last night, and a question popped up in my mind:

So do I HAVE to complete all the new extra side quests that popped up? Or could I just skip them?

You can skip them all. They only net you more info on the bosses in the D's Journal, gear you can steal from them, and the job if you have not yet gotten said job.

They are a fun time waster if you don't want to progress through the game too quickly. Or if your an OCD mainiac and want to 1000% the journal which needs 3 total playthroughs and memorizing which events you already did and triggered.

I'm kinda inclined to skip them for some reason, Iunno.

Makes me wish you could save in more than one slot for something like this. @.@

From what I'm told, the optional fights all give more backstory to each char. I intend to do them all

I uploaded a 206,000 dmg Thunderburst which can 1 shot her lol when I get home I'm going to try out this 999,999 dmg strat. Involves so much buffs and and debuffs @.@ the things I do for you guys~ lol

Acquiring new summons isn't quite what I was expecting, but it's an interesting change.

hmm how are you going over 999? You can send bravely seconds? (I've never used it so Idk exactly how it works lol)

Yeah you can send over Bravely Seconds which remove the damage cap of 9999 so you can hit the max of 999,999

So for the 20 villagers from the demo...can i automatically just dump those into an existing game, or would it have to be a completely new file?

going to get this game soon as i just ordered a 3ds recently and this game looks amazing, only problem is my gamestop nearby can't keep it on the shelf xD

Without going out of your way to gear up for a specific boss, what's your general strat when it comes to tackling them.

I'm interested in hearing some of the ideas and see how they differ from my own.

Tiz - Nin/Swordmaster
Ringabell - Nin/Swordmaster (Hawkeye, precision, frenetic fighting on both)
Agnes - Salve Maker/Nin (Holy one, epic group cast, agi+20 dagger, blessed shield)
Edea - Templar/Nin (hasten world, default guard, dual shields, defense+10%)

Since I get 2 BP per turn, I have Agnes Kairai onto Edea and then cure if necessary or DD w/ compounds.

Edea just alternates between rampart and default. Uses Kairai on herself if I need Agnes to do something else

Tiz/Ringabell save BP till 2, Agnes will make the enemy weak to fire, and I put up flame weps.

Then I just go all out with tiz/ringabell while keeping aggro on Edea and healing as necessary w/ blessed shield.

Hasten world makes BP 0 problem whatsoever.

Not the best or most efficient by any standards, but it's something I came up with on my own, instead of looking for the cheese strategy for each NM

My boss strat is a High Jump/Hasten World stet up with 4 NINs/Acrobatics with Speed+30%/Speed+10%/Spear Lore on 3 of them and Speed+20%/Hasten World/Spear Lore on the fastest one(Ringabel unless you fed someone Unearthly Buns from Nemesis bosses) and just everyone equip 2 spears and High Jump once. Bosses can't hit you while you are in the sky and when you land Hasten World will give you back the BP to go right back into it. Then just hit auto and win.

495,998 :/ I got robbed lol 1300% crit rate and it didn't crit if it did it would of been a perfect 999,999 dmg. Darn you SE.

Bought a 3ds only for this game. Money very well spent.

Well going with my movie ticket method, this game was worth $240 of game play.

80 Hours of gameplay (still haven't beaten everything)
Divided by 2 (average length of a movie)
Multiplied by $7.00 (average cost of a movie ticket)
Minus $40.00 (cost of game)
Comes out to $240 bucks.
