Nobody is saying that everybody should get the best care possible, but rather that everyone should be able to get care period. And a cell phone is a dumb comparison. How many people have died because they couldn't get a phone?
But everyone does get healthcare, regardless of affordability. How well you are treated depends on how much money you put into the system. This was long before Obamacare.
Obamacare is supposed to make healthcare
affordable (hint: The Patent Protection and
Affordable Care Act). It does nothing to the sort, just increases prices which increases the end cost I have to pay if I get sick. I am now double-paying into the healthcare system by my taxes get put into somebody else's care
and I still have to pay for my own healthcare!
But that is "fair" because I have a job and can "afford" it. Maybe that is what "affordable" is supposed to mean on PPACA. If you can afford it, you have to pay for it multiple times!
